Vasectomy and Hair Loss

Vasectomy and Hair Loss

I had a vasectomy after 6 kids about a year ago. I had slight hair loss and was taking rogaine to help prevent it. It worked, my hair loss stopped but did not regrow any hair. I continued to put the stuff on my scalp until about 2-3 months ago when money was a little tight and did not buy any more.

Now the funny thing, I am now regrowing some hair. I am doing nothing at all to treat it other than taking saw palmetto for prostate health which I have been doing for well over 3 years now.

All I can attribute it to is the vasectomy. My stress level is where it always is (high). My diet and exercise are no different. Other than PE, nothing has really changed but the vasectomy.

Have any of you ever heard of such a thing?

Never heard before. Do you mean that taking saw palmetto help you in hair grow because of reducing the stress level,

or the rogain product helped? I have hair loss problem too but don‘t know which product is the best.

.

The vasectomy physically stops sperm from entering the semen. It has no effect on hormones or hair loss. It must be something else that caused your (apparently) temporary hair loss.

Only thing I can think of is that the vasectomy lowered some of the stress. Other than that, they must be unrelated.

The only relationship between vasectomy and hair loss is that they shave your balls before the procedure..

That was funny!

All I can think then is that the stress level of having more children was reduced. Any way, I am not complaining. Just wondering what you guys thought.
