Sleepiness after ejaculation?

I read from some book that you should feel energized and not sleepy after ejaculation if you are doing it right. How can you control such sleepiness, especially if you jerk off during the day?

I’m no Scientist, but it has always been my theory that same chemical is released in the Male brain after ejaculation to reduce aggressiveness, ie sleepiness.

Likewise I think there is a Chemical released in the Females brain that gives them energy, so they can get away after the deed is done.

This may sound crazy, but it makes perfect sense to me.

Doesn’t give me energy at all. Sleep like a baby afterwards. Mostly I have to force myself to stay up depending on the circumstance.

It’s about prolactin. When you ejaculate a signal goes immediately to the brain for the body to increase prolactin. Slows everything down. This is why most of us cannot get another hard-on for a period of time.

I’m doing it right and most of the time I want to take a nap. Most of us do. The book you read is so much hooey.

If you haven’t ejaculated, that’s another matter. Usually you’ll feel very Up still.

I find that when the orgasm is REALLY strong, I even feel it in my head (third eye?). Those times I get over-energized and can’t sleep even if I want to.

Normal orgasms tend to trigger sleepiness, and idle thinking….somewhat like pot after-effects.

I’m not a doctor but I think it has something to do with serotonin levels, and other chemicals….

Whenever I orgasm it will make me feel a little tired initially, but if I don’t sleep then I am fine for the rest of the day. However, it tends to really hit me the next day, regardless of whether I orgasmed first thing in the morning, or last thing at night. I wake up feeling shattered. Does anyone else experience this delayed fatigue?

As for my girlfriend (and my ex) sometimes she bounces round like a bunny after orgasming, other times she’ll just roll over a fall asleep with me.

Yup, Lordbase, frequency of orgasm definitely has overall effects on my day-to-day levels of sleepiness.
