i sound pretty dumb, I saw ilustration of penis in vagina..cevix was under the tip…I was under impression that is on top of penis..say in missionary position…im confused

Questions are allowed on here. So don’t worry about that. It’s good you posted. The cervix is like a canal but it is beyond where the penis would reach. So I don’t know who drew the diagram! I have e-mailed you some web sites with anatomical diagrams which I hope will be a help to you.

The things is, the cervix is like a protrusion on the back wall of the vagina…

vagina’s aren’t just a ‘tube’ as some poeple think…. They are more like a triangle, with the cervix at the “base” (Which is the back) … hope thats not too confusing…

but basically, the penis can slide in above or below the cervix…. Below (towards the back, posterior) is ‘deeper’ though, so thats where to aim if you’re longer.

That’s also where the CDS is located I believe…

The cervix is on the top of the vagina. My cervix is slightly tilted. If you place your finger in a woman’s vagina, you should be able to feel here cervix. I know I can feel my own.

The cervix is part of the uterus that happens to be in the vagina. My cervix is pretty low I guess so it is not very hard to hit it, or at times get around it.

Because the cervix can be lower or tilted in some women, there should be good precautions when having sex. The cervix is the gateway to pregnancy. If a woman is ovulating and no protection is being used and have an “oops” occurs, the risk are very high in her becoming pregnant. Never mind that women who have given birth before or have had abortions (I am not too sure about the abortion part) their cervix is slightly open.
