kfarrelldba, I don’t really take in any sugare except once a week. And a bit from fruit in my shakes, but just a bit.
Really, the only reason I haven’t gone to the DR for SSRIs was because of what it does to libido. Mine doesn’t seem extremely high as is, the last thing I need is it even lower.
I’ve only taken 5htp a few times.
I’ve tried 50mgs at night.
Then tried 50mgs 3 tims a day.
Then I tried 150mgs at once one time.
Few days in a row I’ve tried 50mgs AM when i get up, empty stomach. I seem to feel ‘okay’. Doesn’t help motivate me any though. A lot of times I actually feel pretty good, but just can’t get anything done. I mean I’m getting myself into some serious trouble financially, and I really just don’t care. So I feel good, which leads me away from thinking it’s depressing, but having absolutely no care, or motivation makes me think it may be depression.
I’ve always been the type of person that needs really high dosages in supplements/medications.
I don’t really ‘feel’ anything from energy drinks and things like that.
