Post ejaculation question

I am wondering if this happens to anyone else or if anyone can tell me what is happening.

Shortly after I ejaculate (within 10-30 seconds and it lasts for several minutes) my nose runs and gets stopped up like my allergies are kicking in or something. I will have to blow my nose 10 or so times within a few minute time frame. I am almost positive this hasn’t always happened, but I know it has for at least the past year or so. I haven’t been keeping tabs, but I think it is happening after every time.

Any thoughts?

A ofactory connection. The nerves in your nose is responding to the nerves that initiate ejaculation. Nothing serious though.

There’s a name for this and I forget it. Nothing to worry about. Keep Kleenex around and explain to your partner that you are not allergic to him or her.

That sounds wierd to me. I would keep researching. Whatever the explanation is, I would want to know it.

Don’t worry, it’s completely normal for some guys. I don’t remember the exactly what I’d read was the cause, but it may be due in part to a congestion of the nasal tissues accompanying sexual arousal. People commonly also get flushing in the skin (upper torso and face). There is also a sudden release of a potent mix of hormones at the moment of ejaculation, which for most of us causes an instant feeling of exhaustion, loss of erection, and loss of libido. The sinus tissues may be sensitive to these hormones.

I’ve experienced the same congestion myself for a long time. It took a while for me to realize that it was coincident to orgasm/ejaculation. It always clears up in a short while. I figured it was simply one of the quirks of male sexual response.

I wasn’t worried, but just curious. I am also wondering why it has just started in the past year or so.

I have been in a slump for a while because I have not been getting out much. I have been telling myself I need to get out, but just haven’t for whatever reason. I mainly have been trying not to drink and drive too much and I can’t go to a bar or nightclub without having a few or many beers.
