Porn Free for 42 Days!

Porn is just for the people who don’t have ready access to real sex. Other than that, porn just damages your body and mind sexual settings.. Delete all porn, go out’n have fun.

I have low testosterone in fact very low. This has been going on for years and now and I know how to fix it. My libido is still very low even with the replacement therapy. during the past few years I got hooked on gay porn.It made me feel something that I was not getting from straight porn or my wife, I have no desire to have sex with another man just liked to watch. Their was something safe about it. their was no connection to what I was not able to do with my wife. I have been porn free for almost 5 weeks now and my libido is just starting to return and so are stronger erections. Is it the hormone replacement kicking in and causing the natural and familiar sexual feelings to return or is it the lack of porn. Doesn’t matter anyway now I’m starting to get an overall feeling of well being and don’t want or need the porn. wish me luck with the return to my old life.. A good shrink would be able to write a paper on me.

The good news to take from it is that the damage is reversible (due to neuroplasticity and all that science jaz), however the first few days will likely be a bit rough as nurochemicals rebalanced out, not really surprising considering that addition to porn mimics addiction to many other drugs.

Any way I encourage everyone to reduce their porn consumption and reap the benefits!

I saw this video and it was an eye opener for me. I’m 27 and have only have two sexual encounters before, but as much as I wanted me-mini to rise to the occasion.. Well sexual encounter number two was a flop. That was about 2 years ago now. I noticed that the porn I was watching was getting crazier and crazier to the point that I was picking out homosexual video’s as a heterosexual male. It led me to feelings of such confusion, then depression as I couldn’t figure out if latent homosexuality was the reason I could never get a girlfriend. One day about a month ago I snapped and decided to give porn up all together because I felt like it was poisoning my pecker. A couple of weeks ago I was researching and found that TED video and I feel like everything came together.

I started consistently doing some basic PE again (on and mostly off for years), stopped with the porn (though I’ve cheated by reading some erotic literature.. No more of that!) and have been hitting the gym hard. I still want to be able to masturbate (considering my lack of sexual partners, no sense in torturing myself), but I want to be able to use the images in my imagination again.

With any luck I’ll one day have sexual encounter number three, and when I do I want her to remember the granite hard-on that made it all possible!

It’s you guys here though that keep me motivated to keep bettering myself in all aspects of life. With all the self improvement I’ve been doing I might soon be too awesome for mere mortals to be near :P

I know no one followed up since my last post, but I feel like I need to make a confession anyway.

Epic. Fail.

I don’t know what happened, I was doing so well, it’s been about a month since my detox started. I was starting to have some intense morning wood and was hoping that my psyco-ED might be subsiding as I progressed..

But today everything just fell apart. I had 4 porn sessions today over the course of the day. A complete relapse, we are talking downloads galore, site hopping, everything I loved that made me want to quit in the first place. And only now that the day is done, I feel guilty.

Does everyone fall off the horse? Any tips for staying on track? I’ve been allowing myself a JO session once a week, at night in the dark with only my mind for inspiration (tough since I’ve never had a girlfriend). I’ve been getting the job done, but can never get more than 65% erection. I was hoping that allowing some release would help ween me off vs going totally cold turkey.

How do you stay porn free? I could use some success stories to stay motivated if you are out there!

One pro is I’ve gained about 1/2’ since I focus my former JO time for PE now.

Today, I am 30 days of no porn. I have done some light masturbation without orgasm. I may drop that too, I am undecided at the moment if that will help me.

And, I did have one orgasm to normal sexual intercourse, on day 25.

Still not having good morning wood or spontaneous erections.

If anyone has any ideas on maximizing sexual potency, please post, some of us need all the help we can get!

Last post was 1/1/14 when I failed.

That makes this day 17 with no porn, no JO, no orgasm. I found that it’s been helpful to not take my laptop out at all once I’m home from work; most of the fallbacks I had in the past were accidental: EG. Sexy banners, bad habits and weak will. No laptop, no problem.

All the replacement PE is going really well, I haven’t measured again to see if I’m getting gains, but I’ve been able to get at least a 75% erection with just some stroking (no sexual thoughts), which I haven’t been able to do since I was a teenager. So hooray for EQ improving!

I guess my goal is going to be to regain control of my erections, be able to think about women and get hard without having to rub and pray.

I know there are other guys out there trying to get off porn, post your stories and successes.

I am indeed quite impressed with a lot of that which you folk have been able to commit to these goals. I have flirted with doing a porn detox for a long time and have often failed I think in the last ten year one month is the longest.

I am into day two and its hard but I am going to pull it through. My goal is one month and from there I can push for a little longer. I have nothing against porn, however I know without exception that I do have a problem and need to
get a hold of it. I think if something is beginning to affect you adversely then you have to ship and shift it out of your life or get it into a form that is not longer harmful for you.

I’m on a mission to quit porn.

I’ve never been a everyday porn guy but I get in cycles where I’ll watch everyday for a week then none at all for a week or two.

I’ve always used porn on my girth days but I’ve recently quit doing that (trying to at least). I hope to see positive effects soon.

I used porn when my wife began to ignore me in bed last year and thankfully since we have committed to working on our marriage we have talked about the damage it causes, not only to her self worth as a partner, but to my ability to he stimulated by her physical touch.

I never realized that pornograhpy alters your brains ability to be stimulated over time to the point where sex with a real woman becomes difficult or worse.

I have been porn free for three weeks now except yesterday I back slid and felt horrid because of the threat to the intimacy between my wife and I that porn represents.

I’m a sex addict and I go to SAA meetings. I also work a 12-step program. Porn is something I stay away from. This past fall I almost made it 90 days without looking at it. I fucked around and relapsed a bunch and today marks 30 days without porn. In addition to not looking at porn, I try to limit my masturbation as well. It makes the sex with my girlfriend awesome. It feels better physically and I feel a much deeper emotional connection to her. I don’t, however, get morning wood unless I’m thinking about sex.

To all of those who have quit looking at porn and masturbating, how do you think not masturbating will affect your PE gains?

I never thought about it in terms of improving gains and I frankly can’t see how it would.

Edging is a proven method for improving EQ and sexual stamina by the way.

My wife accused me of being a sex addict as well as (agree-edly) using porn for the last year of our relationship while it failed.

I’m not sure about the sex addict bit, but I’ve certainly screwed up my neuro-chemistry with the porn.

A-unit, I’ve been in the program for just under a year. I’m not here to tell anyone they are an addict. After going to meetings and talking with dudes extensively about sex addiction I can tell your story is a very common one. It doesn’t make you, or anyone else, bad. Sex/porn is used a lot like drugs/alcohol/gambling - as a way to escape from or deal with reality. The fact that you recognized the impact it’s had on your life and have been able to get it under control speaks volumes about your level of self-discipline.

My wife and I are moving in the right direction and supporting each other with the changes we are going through.

She told me that she is able to face her own demons now without putting all of this on me, which she did in the past.

The difference in her is huge.

Hello,

I am thinking of , well no, I am going on a porn detox. However, my issue is with PE. I won’t be able to get those high EQ jelqs without porn. I am assuming that my EQ will come back after a few days of detox. However, what do you all do to get aroused to get the high level EQ necessary?
