Polyurethane condoms - are they smaller?

Hey guys, I’ve heard Polyurethane condoms are smaller/tighter fitting than regular latex because they stretch less. Is that right? I know they feel slightly tighter, and one left an imprint ring around the base of my penis last night lol. Oh, and if anyone else uses them do you know the widest size unit you can fit in there? I’m still doing PE, and can only use polyurethane condoms in my current situation, so I don’t want to go over.

Durex makes one of these, called Avanti, and there’s also a Trojan version. I’ve never tried either, but from seeing them on the shelves, my memory is that the Trojan has the width printed on the package.

But I suspect both of these are standard size condoms. And from what I’ve, you’re right about them not stretching much.

Is there a latex allergy involved in your current situation? I think that’s why they were developed in the first place. But I think they would also work, where latex would not, if you want to use an oil-based lube, which might come in handy for anal sex, for example.

Which urethane are you using, and how does it work for you? Pros? Cons?

I read that they are more likely to slip off, due to the minimal stretchiness. That is why the FDA recommends latex except for people who are allergic to it. However, they have been proven to be effective in preventing pregnancy and HIV transmission. You just have to be aware of the slightly increased risk due to slip off. they are supposed to transfer heat better too.

I tried avanti here in the UK a few years ago and I couldn’t put it on! I’m not huge but a condom needs to stretch. I don’t recommend them for that reason - aimin4eight - how do they feel when in use?

They make a very annoying crackling sound.

Yeah it’s due to an allergy. And they’re far more difficult to put on, like rolling it on is a pain. I’ve had 2 break so far. Oh, I’m using Durex. They feel better, they’re thinner and the heat is there for sure. Condom and no condom feel seriously close to the same as opposed to a latex condom. And how do they feel? My girth was 5 3/8” last time I checked (though it may have slightly increased) and last time I had sex there was an imprinted ring on the base of my penis (kind of like the imprints you get from digging your nails/teeth into your skin, just less painful, but just as apparent), due to the thicker/less stretchy part at the bottom.
