Painful ejaculation

I’m going to see a urologist, but I’d like to hear your opinion also!

- For a month now I frequently feel the urge to urinate (reasonable quantities of pee), the same feeling as with bladder infection. In fact, I was exposed to cold for too long…
- My wife was at the gynecologist 3 weeks ago and was tested positive with a mild infection with haemofilus and candida. I felt no kind of discomfort, but I had to take medicine along with her for 10 days.
- The frequency of peeing is still the same and the last 3 days in a row I felt slightly painful ejaculation. I never in my life experienced this before… The fourth day (yesterday) it wasn’t pain, but i felt I didn’t ejaculate at all when orgasming.

I suspect a bladder/prostate infection, but I miss some common symptoms: no discharge of any kind, no soreness, no pain while peeing…
Did you ever feel something like this, any ideas?

P.S.: Oh, I’m 54 and never had prostate problems before…

I remember when I was like 14-15, I had this painful ejaculation for about a month. It hurt so much when I ejaculated that I prefered many times to masturbate ,but not reaching orgasm( with ejaculation). I didn’t have any discharge or any other symptoms. Maybe it was an infection, but it passed on it’s own in about a month.

IIRC, nope, no frequent peeing, but I can describe the pain as felt throughout the urethra like it was inflamed.

You should definitely have your prostate checked. It couldn’t hurt. Well, it may hurt a little bit, but only for a moment. But you for sure want to take care of your prostate.

CervixH, where is the pain located ?

The same kind of pain I use to experience when my bladder is inflamed and urination gets painful. I might say around the PC muscle.

Some update:

The urologist found a prostate congestion. The prostate pressing on the bladder caused the urge to urinate.

A possible infection was the most likely reason for the congestion. I had to do some biological analyses.

In the meantime my condition worsened and I got a reduced EQ. Those tests took days for completion, checking the limits of my patience.

The first set of blood tests only confirmed I got some infection in my body, but all the specific tests for microbial agents were negative.

The results for second and third set of tests (which I didn’t even have the time to show to the doctor) - urine and sperm - were also negative: no bacteria, or fungi… Still very high level of leukocytes. For a couple of days I feel much better, EQ back, seems I got past the problem without any treatment. I still want to know what kind of infection I got.

Bacterial infections of the prostate are sometimes difficult to get rid of because the prostate is so convoluted in shape (tiny pockets that are hard reach with anti-biotics).

If you get the same symptoms again, go back to the uro. The earlier you treat this, the easier it will be.
