Natural food that increases testosterone production? (oyster, etc.)

I’ve heard good things about eating oysters once a week but I’m not into cooking or eating raw seafood (hepatitis anyone?). Is there any easier way to get the health benefits of eating oysters without the fuss? How about canned oysters or even drinking ready made oyster juice? Thanks!

The following info is taken from the book: The Testosterone Advantage Plan by Lou Schuler where he states that cholesterol is the building block of testosterone, so a meat eating, cholesterol consuming diet would yield more testosterone then a vegetarian diet would. The diet he prefers is the Mediterranean diet that derives a lot of fat from olive oil and a lot of protein from fish, eggs and cheese. It is low in saturated fat with virtually no refined or sweetened carbohydrate.

But what about the aphrodisiac quality of oysters? They come with plenty of zinc that is critical for testosterone production.

The only way to have oysters , is raw , straight out of the shell , bit of lemon juice , salt & pepper :eat: , & a beer too :gulp:

Will it be the same if you just take lots of zinc and magnesium supplement?

Don’t forget nuts: peanuts, almonds etc.. They help naturally raise T levels too. Just like the olive oil it’s all about the monounsaturated fats. Scientists don’t really know why people that eat more monounsaturated fats have higher T levels but some believe that the monounsaturated fats have a direct effect on the testicles. Also I was trying to get another testosterone test because I want to see if my levels are any higher than last time and my mother (a doctor) warned me that having levels that are too high can lead to cancers. It’s all about balance. I still want that god damn test though.

All the stuff above is on the money for boosting your test. But also try to eliminate whole wheat or bran and soy items from your diet. They lower test. Soy boosts estrogen. There are lots of articles on high fiber, lower test and prostate cancer on google. I do recommend fiber so if you need it switch to oatmeal or flax seed meal, both of which increase testosterone. I eat oatmeal every day and so do a lot of body builders. (I don’t qualify as that yet) Olive oil or nut oils (as stated above) are also good for you and if you drink it straight works as a laxative also, so you really don’t need wheat fiber. (kind of a yukee subject, but you start to think about it as you get older).

“Women tell me” that eating oysters that way (raw), especially without the lemon and pepper and salt and beer is like full blown oral sex… .

So a good diet would be a diet based on oil, some fiber, nuts and peanuts, meat (not red meat), eggs, cheese and a lot of water? (I don’t eat fish.. Long story)
