Magnum Condom

Congrats on being able to wear a magnum, that’s great!! I think I would need some more girth before I try one on but the length I think I’m there

Starting Stats: NBPEL: 5.5 BPEL: 6.0 NBPFL: 3.1 BPFL: 4.0

August 10 2008: Nbpel: 8.2 BPEL: 8.3 NBPFL: 6.3 BPFL: 6.5

FINALLY EIGHT INCHES!! Short Term Goal: 8.5 inches,Long Term Goal: 9.5 inches,Final Goal: 10 inches

Magnum and Magnum XL condoms are not much bigger than normal condoms. They’re more about ego size than dick size :D

I be soon be there.

Yeah, but the magnum packaging looks so cool :)

4-07: 6.0 x 5.3 8-07: ?

Goal: 8.0 x 6.5 Deficit: 2.0 x 1.2 Currently 75% x 81%

I don’t usually wear them, but sometimes like to get them for an extra treat. I get the “mudgrips”. You know the ones from lifestyles that have the little nubbies all over them (don’t know what they are actually called). I had to give a new box of them away day before yesterday (don’t ask) and needed to get some more.

I’m only 5” midshaft right now, a little more post workout with a 6” base girth postworkout. A little less if I’ve taken a couple of weeks off. So I obviously don’t need magnums. But the ones I’ve been getting have ben breaking if I use them post workout. What would be a good kind to get that will hold up at my size if the normal ones are breaking? Saw some trojans that have vibrating rings in them at the pharmacy yesterday but they also said, “extra thin” so I thought they might break. It’s kind of cool going from the guy who had to dig one out of a woman on more than one occasion because it slipped off - (any idea how embarrassing that is?) to the guy who is breaking regulars now.

Since I couldn’t decide what to get I was leaving without them. The girl who works there asked me, “couldn’t find what you needed?” I said, you are out of magnums, regulars break, and I don’t think I need the supra. She grinned and said, well come back tomorrow, we’ll be re-stocked.

So anyway, considering where I’m at now, what is a good kind and size that won’t break?

As far as I know, Magnum=5.5 girth , MagnumXL=6.25 girth. But I’m not so sure.

That could be translated as “big and huge” , in the same order.

Start: 6.9 BPEL x 4.9 (17,5 x 12,5 cm)

Now: 7.7 BPEL x 5.7 (19,5 x 14,5 cm)

>>>As far as I know, Magnum=5.5 girth , MagnumXL=6.25 girth.

You definitely do not need 6” of girth to wear a Magnum XL. They are very tight on a 6” girth. My guess is that the anyone with about 5.4-5.6” girth would not experience any slippage (due to bad fit, anyway) in an XL.

So am I right in assuming that a Magnum XL would be suitable for a mid-shaft girth of about 6.1”/6.2”?

Would a person need the step up from Magnum XL if the girth is 6.5+?

What is the girth comfort step from Magnum XL to Magnum XXL?

Magnum XXL?? I didn’t know they made that. Time to really start working on girth.

What Para said. XLs would likely be tight on anyone 6” G or over, especially if they have a wide glans.

Well, the Magnum XL is pretty much the widest condom available, so there isn’t a step up from there. Girths over 6” are very uncommon, so there isn’t much of a “supersize” market for manufacturers.

Even a small condom will fit over a large penis. The issue is just possible discomfort and compression. I find XLs more comfortable than regular condoms, but it’s not really that big of a deal either way.

You know it may be my imagination but whenever I go into a store that sells condoms a eyeball the selection and seem to notice that there are a lot of Magnum boxes available for sale. Often times it seem proportionally more than non Magnum brands.

This means one of two things perhaps: 1. Seller stocks a lot of these because there is high demand. 2. There are a lot in the store because no one is buying them.

If seller stocks a lot because there are a lot of buyers then this to means there are a lot of guys with 5.5” and larger girth, which is contrary to average girth size of just under 5”.

Another related head game for me is wondering if a girl is disappointed when you pull out your condom wrapper and it’s not a Magnum. Kind of like picking up your date in a crap box vs. a nice sports car or something like that.

Thoughts?

I just tried Magnums last night for the first time. I had been experiencing difficulty with regular condoms, they were pretty tight, but I didn’t think I was in magnum territory yet. I was actually kind of worried that if I bought them, they would be too big, and that would be kind of embarrassing in front of my girlfriend. Anyways, I gave them a go, and they are awesome, they actually feel comfortable! Everybody on here always says you need to be 5.5” in girth to wear them, I am just over 5.25”, and they fit perfect. I am not sure if you guys have a different way of measuring girth or something, I know I have seen some questionable methods in measurement pics, but for me they work like a charm.

I did a post about this before in this very forum:

Average condoms vs Magnums vs Magnum XLs vs Magnum Twisters

Condomania | Official Store - Condoms, Lube, Sex Toys had some interesting answers for me. While they did not have size specs listed for the Magnum Twisters, they did for the Magnums and Magnum XLs:

Average condom: 190 mm long, 52 mm wide at both the base and head
Magnums: 215 mm long, 54 mm wide at the base, and 60 mm wide at the head
Magnum XL: 215 mm long, 54 mm wide at the base, and 65 mm wide at the head

This has some interesting implications for condom choice based on your shape. I’m thicker at the base, so from that standpoint, the XLs offer me no advantage over the regular Magnums. They are both equally long, so no advantage either way there, either.

So, it’s probably good for informed condom shoppers to realize that, at least in the case of Magnums, XLs and Twisters, ‘more girth’ means more girth at the top, not at the base, and not really a whole lot more at the base than average condoms. (If my math is right, that two extra millimeters translates into eight percent more area to the circle.)

For me, Magnums, XLs or Magnum Twisters are more comfortable, and are marginally more comfortable at the base, but only marginally at most. The extra length over ‘average’ condoms is a good thing.

For Lampwick, becoming hung like a donkey was the result of a total commitment.
