Fellow TP’ers,

Unfortunately god did not grant me with a great penis - I’ve had my fair share of problems not only getting it up, but lasting long enough. Most of us know about doing kegels, breathing right, etc., but this thread is for any other techniques to last longer that you might be using. Here are some of the things I do to make sure I last longer. Feel free to share your own methods.

1. Music- I actually figured this out only a couple days ago. While edging, I noticed that I can last much longer if I’m watching TV or doing anything to distract myself, and vice versa, if I’m thinking about sex or watching porn I don’t last nearly as long. But obviously you can’t play video games while having sex, so music is the next best thing to distract you a little bit and help you last longer. I only tried it twice with a girl, but it’s worked pretty well for those two times.

2. Certain position- When you are the one that is thrusting, flexing your muscles, and doing all the work, you don’t last as long. I’ve found that if you’re on bottom or any other position where the woman is doing the work, you can last much longer. This might not be true for everybody, but for me the difference is like day and night.

3.Pinching the head of the penis- This works very well for me. I always knew about this technique, but for some reason never used it. When I can feel my PONR, I take a 5+ second break, pinch the head with 2 fingers and the thumb, and resume.

4. Relaxing the whole body- You don’t always know when you are flexing your muscles during sex, and a lot of it happens automatically. Every couple of minutes, just get a feeling of your whole body from head to toes and make sure that ALL of your muscles are relaxed, especially the ones around your core like your thighs and butt.

5. Lastly, this isn’t during sex, but I’ve found that I get much more benefits from edging if I don’t cum at the end of the session. Try to alternate finishing every other session, and don’t do it for too long because it’s bad for your prostate.

Probably the one thing that most don’t do is pay attention to their breathing. This is a very early sign of approaching the PONR. Your breathing begins to get more faster and more pronounced. Control the breathing and in turn the heart rate and pay attention to the signs that your body is giving you and you will find that it will help a ton. Ejaculatory pre-cursors are 95% mental and about 5% physical. Just my .02

Okay, here are my 2 cents:

1. Distraction does work to a certain extent but then there is the problem of going soft when thinking about football or solving quadratic equations. I don’t like doing that because it ruins the fun.
2. I agree with you, alex, but girl-on-top gets boring after the first 20 times. It certainly has a big impact, but for me it’s going from 10 strokes to a couple of minutes. :D :D
3. I’ve known this technique for a long time but it never seems to work for me. I guess it would work for people whose problem is physiological, but mine is most certainly on a psychological basis.
4. It probably helps being relaxed, so another good tip.
5. I usually try to save it all for my girlfriend, so not cumming during edging is my goal too. Never though, not just every other session. I’m interested in your claim about prolonged edging being bad for the prostate. Could you elaborate on that?
After all, there are people who edge for hours every day and many others that have sex for hours regularly (even if they eventually come).

As for what 9_in_richard said - it’s probably true. Breathing would help a lot of people, but not me, because, even though my problem is mental, it lies somewhere else.

I was wrongly assuming people don’t have sex. So to rephrase, if you’re not having sex, you should ejaculate maybe every other session.

What were you saying for number 3? I think you forgot to include the technique.

I was actually commenting your post, mate, so number 3 is the head-pinch technique that you mentioned. :)

P.S. Exhaustion is a good way to delay ejaculation. If your central nervous system is overloaded you can still get erect if you’re in the mood, but you probably won’t feel the need to ejaculate so soon.
