I had some side effects only the first two weeks I was on paroxetine.I used to wake up earlier than usual.I might have gained some weight too,but that was not noticeable.

When I first began my battle against premature ejaculation, read a lot about kegels and how doing them helps, its certainly true, but for me it only helped get me into a stop-start sexual rhythm, kegeling when I felt the urge to ejaculate, taking control of my BC muscle. My girlfriend at the time said didn’t bother her, but it bothered me for sure. After fighting off the urge to ejaculate the time period before the next urge got smaller and smaller until I was always one thrust away.

I noticed that I was always holding my breath throughout sex, taking breaths only in short bursts before holding again. I looked into this on the Internet and found that calm controlled and deep breathing was recommended wherever it was that I looked. I tried this in combination with squeezing my BC muscle while masturbating (by this time i was and still am single) and it seems to work. I am yet to try it out in the heat of the moment with a lady however…

I have bought a copy of the multi orgasmic man and I fully intend to one day get round to trying out the exercises it recommends. I can see a bit of logic in some of what it says with regard to breathing etc, but all the talk of energy flows etc is a bit off putting to me as a skeptic.

What is premature ejaculation actually? I don’t know if I have it or not… What I mean is that I get the urge to come pretty early in the intercourse (less than 1min I think…. maybe 2-3 if it’s wetter) and I have to stop for a few seconds. With this stop and go I can last as long as I want while masturbating but with the lady it isn’t always that easy (she is also moving).

I sometimes contract my BC/PC but don’t know if it helps or not.

For me the best way to make it last longer is to think at something else… but sometimes it’s REALLY hard to do that.

I agree on the breathing thing but would advise rereading mravg’s post as a caveat as to just how it works. You can do all sots of interesting tweaks and workarounds on your CNS with breathing, you really can. Not of it will do you a lot of good if you don’t acquire self observational skills to go with it. The great thing about this is that as mravg found out from his wife you can then apply the same skills to your partner. Little changes in their breathing, skin tension, pupil dilation, etc., tell you a hell of a lot and will let you be a much better lover.

I would advise anyone that is clueless on the breathing to at least play around with it enough to learn some basics and then decide if they which to go further.
