This is my ultimate Kegel Thread.

I want to write a little You may comment, share Your opinion but I think it’s time for final clarification for some members. I can only add here that this information appeared after at least 20 medical consultation, tons of papers, documents and more than hundred web pages.
If somebody will think it’s not true or will doubt - consult your physician or urologist.

The BC is not the muscle you are looking for; neither is the PC, (this is obvious for most already).
The BC muscle surrounds the corpus cavernous. It really helps to push out urine and semen. But Corpus Cavernous holds only 10% of blood during erection! It only cares for liquids and has not much to do with ejaculation. As Westla said, it helps to milk penis towards the meatus, it contributes in ejaculation, but doesn’t compress the Corpus Cavernous which..

The Corpus Cavernous holds 90% of erectile blood. And here we have Ischiocavernosus muscle. It is situated much closer to the pubic bone than any part of BC and covers crus of the penis which also is place where the penis by it’s tissues is being attached to the body. By that penis is being kept straight. Also IC, by covering the Corpus cavernous, IC is the main muscle that helps to build an erection.

Corpus cavernous filled with blood and IC create about 85% of erection, BC “works” only when You are getting close to ejaculation.
This is why BC and it’s anatomical topography&natural function won’t help you with stronger erection.

You have to concentrate on the dorsal surface of your penis and by that You can achieve OUTSTANDING erection which will make your penis close to BLOW. IC holds Your blood in Corpus Cavernous, keeps it straight and if you don’t involve your anal are and BC you are much more likely to ejaculate even when you are aroused.

Kegels seem to be always a big problem for some of us to clarify and understand, even mature members have different ideas and conceptions.
Let this be a first point to unite all of them.

One thing to note though is that while I believe this is more what people here want when doing kegels, the purpose of a kegel is to assist in bladder and bowel control isn’t it?

Yes. This mistake is so common, and there is so much misunderstanding on the NET because of this that sometimes I feel tired. But:

1. Somebody ears money when they say that they know the final and the only good answer
2. As far as Kegels go for sex for women it was also written so for men. It’s catchy and much easier to write than: Squeezing Bulbocavernosus and Ischiocavernosus muscles as a way to superb sexual shape and the best way to make Your sex life better ;)

IC is for erection and Orgasm
BC is for urine and semen
PC (Kegel) is for urine and prostate
VIP Muscle (tail-bone muscle) is for anus and prostate

You lost me here. What do you mean by concentrating on the dorsal surface of your penis?

Corpus Cavernous builds upper 80-85% of penis. You have to look at some anatomy drawings to see where crus of penis is located. This is Your starting point. This is also where IC attaches. Now try to apply gentle, internal pressure forward towards the glans of penis but keeping in mind that You are interested only on the upper part of it. You will eventually feel it. It’s about 1-1,5 cm behind the pubis.

And One VERY IMPORTANT thing I would like to add here. About TUG-BACK. DON’T TRY “escaping” with your penis to the inner structures of Your pelvis. It’s the worst You can do because it kills Your erection. If you perform this little pushing forward, You will feel gentle moves where penis enters the body, in front and a bit under from the pubis. Movement of 1-3mm.

Yeah, when someone is looking to improve their sexual function (male) they’re going to look for how to do kegels by the mere meme of things around the ‘net. But considering “kegel” is someone’s last name, you could differentiate it with your own so that people can narrow down what they are looking for.

But I can’t thank you enough for this. I mean I just don’t have time these days to sort the internet out, times were considerably more simple when there were only a handful of books to check out at the library.

Next important thing to notice.

When You ejaculate, You feel tension of Your penis and some additional contractions that tell You - You are finishing.
If at this very moment You concentrate on the down-side part of Your penis (BC), You will feel Your ejaculations as it goes and where exactly.
If You will concentrate on Your erection(IC), You will make it harder and more tensed, You will feel that hardness but also that wish for ejaculation will pass away. You may try this and feel it really nice while EDGING!

Me either?

Yes - kegels - because You contract The ICs Muscles (both sides) which are located on the upper part of the corpus spongiosum which - stands for erection. And You ejaculate by squeezes of BC which goes along the down-side part of penis - You can feel the tub with Your fingers.

Could you supply anatomy drawings so I understand what to do? I think I understand everything except for how to strengthen the IC.

so how do i know im squeezing the right part?

Obafemi: It will be best to wait for pictures. There is so many muscles anybody can find it difficult to separate. It’s like pushing forward from the point 1,5cm behind the pubis but gently, feeling the tension on and in the dorsal part of penis. Again, wait for the pictures please :)
