Kegel - the secret revealed

So I don’t know if I’m doing this right or not, but the IC muscle is the muscle that makes your penis move back and forth.

Interesting, because I’ve been doing my Kegels by Isolating the BC muscle(the one closer to the anus), and flexing the IC muscle right after I hold my BC Kegel.

holding both at once?

Im trying to get there. I do it pretty good alternating.

Yeah. I find it a lot easier for some reason to hold both at once. The IC one is most likely the one to flex the penis, correct ? As far as the BC, you feel it flexing a lot more by the anal hole.

The IC muscle can be located by putting a finger hand at the base of the penis and flexing it.

whilst the other BC(?) can again be felt by putting a finger above anus and below balls and when pumped can be felt.

Its can be demonstrated if people need to see I can post a vid up.

Well I find it very difficult to contract both. We had many pics in this thread. The BC is directly behind your balls. The IC is on top and the sides of the dick.

The pc muscle is much more near to the anus.

I isolated both BC and IC but cant hold both at ones.

While an erection is occuring it is to my udnerstanding that both muscles contract very subtile in an alternating way.

Im think, for the people who heard of balooning, that that is alternating BC and IC muscle..

yes, and when feeling the IC it is making the base get thicker(two cord like structures) right while the balls are somewhat moving up?

As for locating the IC someone described a method of kegeling a while back (don’t remember who) where they could kind of pulse the sides of the base while flexing the BC (he called them butterfly kegels I think); I believe he was talking about the IC without knowing it. Instead of pulsing I try to hold it as long I can. While I can hold a standard kegel for about 5 minutes or so I can only hold this IC flex for about 15 seconds. I think this is a good sign as this is something I have yet to strengthen.

My only recommendation is to look at the Wikipedia diagrams posted earlier and then mentally focus on those areas. It kind of feels like the muscles are pinching the interior penis from the left/right (I think this is in fact what the IC actually does—keeping the penis erect in a manner similar to a cable clamp). With experimentation and practice you will get it (I am of course assuming I’m doing this right, which I may not be lol).


Good afternoon. I have being doing kegels for about a year. I always noticed the butterfly feeling, I guess you can say by accident, but I never thought it was working a differnt muscle other than de BC. I figured out this is considered a back kegel. Just to doublé check, I do a regular kegel and then expand the IC like butterfly wings as I push toward my glands to the point where I feel a deep sensation and try to hold for as long as possible. Is this the same action when performing a back reverse kegel. I push down on my BC and contract my IC muscle into my penis while pushing toward my glands or do I expand my IC away from my penis while pushing toward my glands.

Can someone please clear this up once and for all, I’m quite confused.

I thought pulling your pelvic floor muscles in from your anal hole to balls (kegelling) was the way to go.. Not so sure now..

1. Activate the muscles you use to cut off urine. That’s kegels in its most simple form.
2. Personally, I’ve found that kegels and jelquing give me more control to last long, and then to finish at exactly the time I want to finish.
3. Jelquing has given me better EQ. It’s not the only way, but it is one effective way.

I think I got the isolation of the IC. Just want to know if it is recommended to perform a reverse kegel on this muscle, I think it is called a back reverse kegel. Can someone help.

Its not far away from a IC contraction to a reverse kegel. Its easy espacially at the start to do both at the same time.
I can isolate them but it seems at times easier to do rev kegel + IC

After few days of trying I menaged to contract IC muscle, now I am able to contract left side and then right if I want. For starters it would be easier if you can squeeze lower abs.

Front or Back Kegel : which is better?

While searching for info on kegel exercises I came across the two methods of kegeling.
One is by “halting the flow of urine” which is front kegel.
The other is by “preventing the passage of gas” which is back kegel.

Which method can provide more gains (such as potency, my goal) in the same length of time?

Halting the flow of urine or causing the penis to move when clenched is the one you want. You can verify this by feeling the effect on the erection when kegelling.
