In response to the recent flurry of posts, what constitutes a relapse is personal. Set your own standards and try to live by them. However, as others have cautioned, no need to be fanatical- as long as you’re not acting upon your urges to seek, browse and jerk off to porn (at all), chances are you’re doing just fine.

Also, as I mentioned, I believe the key to my current success is little bits and pieces here and there- not complete utter abstinence from every sexual image in the world. I browse and vote in The Dive, check out women in men’s/fitness magazines, don’t shy away from skin on TV, etc. I still whack it, but only a couple of times a week in time-controlled fashion.

Use your instincts, set and live by your personal standards, but don’t throw yourself in solitary confinement for no reason. Stay vigilant and be honest with yourself. If you feel you need total and complete abstinence from any sexual imagery or stimulation, then that is what you need to do. If you think it’s unreasonable, then construct your own plan for success.

A stringent but reasonable goal-set will have a higher success rate.

Depending on your method of hitting on women, as well as the woman, this can be very beneficial. I try to divert the energy that I had previously used to watch porn and jerk off into other pursuits.

Day 8, and feeling great. Been trying with the ladies a whole lot more than I ever did which is awesome fun ( even though I am horrible at it haha )

Well anyways a good friend of mine for a long time got back from school the other day, we sat around and talked about random shit, shot the day away you could say. At one point he tells me how he stopped chasing women and started focusing more on school, which in turn resulted on him being on the computer more often and watching porn! Stay strong man! You’re an inspiration. I guess I’m on day two now, after my relapse. It’s not as bad this time, I don’t feel as “dead” or “numb” as before. I guess I was feeling more negative about the whole situation when I started quitting previously. After being “clean” for 26-ish days, I feel pretty good about my self-control.

Sounds great. Stay on top of it. I thought my last relapse was harmless but it went downhill shortly after I tried to abstain again.

Yeah, I am totally, completely jonesing for a fix right now. I’m trying to stay occupied but I’m sort of forced to stay around because I’m awaiting an important phone call.

Let this be an example of how long and arduous this can be!!!

Update on my most trying day thus far…

Just went to the gym; had a ridiculous workout. Although I’m definitely tired, my test levels are soaring as high as a B-2 stealth bomber.

My next attack will be a long, strenuous (yet safe), PE workout in the shower. Should sap the rest of my “porn drive” for today.

My strategy seems to be effective.

1) Intense resistance training followed by high intensity intervals on the recumbent bike really took the edge off. However, I was still hungry.

2) Very hot shower with intense jelqing/squeezes followed by an extended manual stretching session. This really finished the job.

Now, I’m tired, my dick is a wet noodle (albeit thicker) and I have no desire to browse porn. Excellent.

If you find that you can control yourself, treat yourself once a week and set a strict time limit.

Don’t take the easy way out. Eliminate porn, edging and masturbation for as long as possible. A weekly treat will weaken the resolve. Don’t give in to the temptation. Soon enough the thoughts will be less erotic and more sensual.

Day 52 for me no PMO. Took a week decon break of PE and the gains from stretching are greater than ever. I believe this has to do with more nutrients available in my body for growth and repair. I’m a completely different person around family, friends, and girls.
