I’m on day 5 now. Now depending on if you considered my porn video as a violation or not (considering that I did not touch myself while watching it; it is probably something like day 22), I have definitely noticed getting erect easier now just to thoughts in my head, or even a little bit of handling of my junk. Before it was it almost equivalent to whipping my dick into the wall to get it excited enough to become erect, so now it is becoming easier to obtain.

I also feel “healthier” in state of mind. This could be a placebo effect though. I kind of feel like I can do more now and my perspective on life has changed a little bit. My drive to meet women has definitely increased as well. On that note there is a funny story about that. I just recently bought a swiss ball to help my weight loss progress and while I was in the store looking at all the equipment, there were a ton of product covers involving women in tight sports bras and spandex shorts. That got me going even with not seeing any nudity. Well, suffice to say, when I got back home, I took my hand pump that came with my swiss ball, and I can tell you that I pumped that thing up damn FAST. (the pumping action is remarkably similar to jacking off). It really helped me wear off that sexual frustration I had.

Ugh, it pains me to say that, after having gone so long (>24 days) without it. I’m going to try harder now, it’s actually surprisingly more difficult this time around. The first time I was so resolute in my decision to never watch porn again that it was simple. This time, the seal has already been broken (so to speak) so it doesn’t seem as strong a barrier.

Also, I have been taking ZMA for workout recovery about 30 minutes before I go to bed. One of the common effects of ZMA is crazy dreams, which I have been getting, but another really great side effect for me is morning wood. The first few days of the detox I felt like my cock was just dead because it wouldn’t get hard for anything. The last two mornings I have woken up with a raging hard on, even if the dream I was having was not related to sex (which is sometimes a little disconcerting). Anyway, just thought I’d leave that here for you guys. ZMA is nothing more than a very specific multivitamin (Zinc, Magnesium and Vitamin B-6).

Thanks for the encouragement. I still have a long way (lifetime) to go. I’ve been tempted a bunch of times recently, but I can identify my triggers and act accordingly. A huge part of my success is the jerking off in moderation, brief edge sessions, and the occasional eye candy around. Oh yeah, the fiancee has been doing a good job as well. :-D

The same happened to me last time. Just try and be aware that the urge will grow to watch more after you watch it the first time. You should feel “refreshed” so to speak once you get to day 3 again. The mentality of the last time you stop for a significant amount of time will come back stronger than before. At least it did for myself. :up: Keep at it, I know I am trying. I want to see a Day 53 :)

So….what happens if you’re watching an actual movie, and a “detailed” sex scene comes up? Does that count or ?

Believe me, when I saw that scene, I was nearly yelling out fuck because I thought I had to start over again…

Dude, don’t turn an anti-porn addiction into an addiction. Just relax. Don’t watch the hardcore stuff. Don’t freak out if you see some naked pictures or some sexual stuff on TV. It’s going to happen. Just don’t go seeking it out.

Do you guys notice, not only just a change in arousal patterns, but serious change in behavior when you have not watched porn AND not ejaculated in many days? I find that I am far more determined to work out, I am more willing to do unhealthy amounts of PE, creatine, protein powder, I find it much more difficult to play “hard to get” with a girl I am interested in, and find it more difficult to concentrate on “boring” tasks.but then suddenly, as soon as I jack off, I have a seriously diminished urge to lift weights, I ridicule myself for having been so short-sighted in terms of taking in too many supplements just for the silly efforts at attaining a better physique, I can focus more at work, I pay less attention to girls and therefore end up accidentally playing the game better, I have a desire to read the paper, suddenly I find myself listening to news radio as opposed to club music.

It has gotten so apparent to me, and so bad, that sometimes I find myself in a situation and I wonder if I would be doing the same thing had I rubbed one out.

No I think movie scenes, even sex shows and documentaries are fine to watch. Even pics in the dive. I think giving up the routine you had to watch porn is as important as the content, I could spend a whole day and night searching and watching porn which is seriously unhealthy. Watching a sex scene in a movie is not constantly stimulating you over and over again like it would if you were jumping from one porn scene to the other.
