Interesting question:

Interesting question:

I’ve been reading about people overcoming ED through some of the exercises shared on this website. That’s awesome. I’m 29 and in great health but the thought of ED looms upon my shoulders. Mostly because my dad has issues with it. I never actually had a conversation with him about it but I know that he has an enlarged prostate which I believe can cause ED, and I know that he takes Viagra and some of the other ED pills. I’ve also heard that the medication people take for an enlarged prostate can cause some issues. Like I said I don’t know what the cause is, I just know that he has problems with ED.

He’s 54 and in decent health, though he does have his share of daily pills to take due to whatever. My question is this; is PE for him? Do you think that he’d be able to over come his ED through exercises? I don’t even know how I’d begin that conversation (lol!) but it’s something that I’d definitely consider for myself if I were in his shoes.

I am older than your father and some of the ED routines have helped me a bit. However, I don’t know how I would be able to approach my father on this subject, so good luck.

You might want to refer him first to franktalk.org, a forum dedicated to ED issues. Might be an easier referral. If that works out ok, then refer him to the Gym. There are a lot of guys on franktalk with prostate problems so he might feel at home. That is where I learned about Trimix injections which have turned my sex life around.

Good luck.

If you want to avoid ED, you should eat a heart healthy diet and exercise. Not PE exercise, body exercise. A healthy body with low blood pressure, good cholesterol levels and strength is the best way to avoid ED. If you have ED, the best way to get rid of it is to take up those practices.

Oh, one more thing, I sure hope he doesn’t smoke. :)

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

May I ask: why you named this thread ‘Interesting question’ instead than, say, ‘PE and ED’ or such?

That is great advice. Unfortunately, some guys get ED from their DNA such as enlarged prostates, diabetes, and other inherited maladies and are seeking helpful advice.

Thanks for the replies. I will keep it all in mind.

I once heard a psychologist jokingly say, “There are three subjects that no child can ever inform their parents on: sex, money, and child-rearing.” Good luck to you.

As to the ED, what GPrent said. +1

As to the diabetes and Blood pressure, I was on metformin and lisinopril for awhile and had issues. I started lifting weights and went on an eskimo diet. Sugar and pressure numbers are now normal and I’m off my meds. Ed problems cleared up a little bit, but the thing I think helped me out the most was Kegels (for the prostate) and jelqs for penile blood circulation.
