Testosterone is the hormone responsible for all traits masculine, and replacement regimens for men whose test levels are low show all sorts of health benefits. So everything from libido and sex drive to metabolism and mental acuity have some link to testosterone. The reason your sex drive doesn’t threaten to kill you if you don’t get laid, right here, right now, like it did when you were 18, is because your test levels are lower. Your lack of interest in the obvious effects you yourself have listed, indicates to me you may have never been that much of a “high test” kinda guy, or you’re still so young you haven’t been around long enough to notice the effects of declining test.

What is that test your talking about called? Testosterone level test? I don’t get what a declining test means, does that mean low testosterone levels?
I wonder if I increased my testosterone levels by taking some type of supplement (name?), I would gain easier, or even faster? If not, then I won’t even bother.

Yes, especially when you go relatively heavy with the compound movements (deadlifts, squats, bench press, incline press, military press, rows, pull ups, leg press, etc.). Plus the supplement ZMA, I swear this stuff works, I feel stronger on it and my balls went from normal to fucking rock hard and swollen.

Be careful with that.

I’ve taken ZMA as well and enlarged nuts is usually an indication you may want to cut back on it or cycle it over a 6 week period like you would with an actual steroid.

No you don’t need to cycle ZMA. What ZMA does is optimise your bodies levels of Zinc, Magnesium and vitamin B6. None of them are fat soluble and so any excess that the body doesn’t need will be discarded/not used.

The reason ZMA is so effective, is because without it, it is VERY difficult to get enough of these substances in our diet. Also, taking those amount of those minerals just before bedtime causes the brain to fall into deep sleep a lot earlier and for longer, which aids in recovery, aswell as testosterone production.

Another good point is too never take ZMA or (Zinc) combined with Calcium rich products (Milk).

Yep :D .

I try not to eat at all in the last two hours before bedtime. I also make sure my last meal of the day is mostly devoid of calcium.

I second eating ZMA, oatmeal and steaks, toast with butter and a low fiber diet. Combine that with high levels of protein at least 100g per day, and finally squats with heavy weights. I just do one set of 20 reps with 250 lbs, by they end of the day I’m ready to plug any hole that appears. Good thing I have a wife near by. The older you are the more you’ll feel the difference. This actually only causes a small increase in T naturally, but if your body has slowly started producing less, you can really tell the difference.

Taking pro-hormones to “increase” testosterone is plain stupid. Your endogenous testosterone production will be ceased, the prohormones will not replace or act like testosterone by any means (they don’t bind to the receptors the same way good ol’ testosterone does) and you’ll end up with a limp dick and more muscle, if your nutrition is ok and if your weightlifting.
Then there will be a long time (usually months) until your own testosterone production gets back to normal, if you’re lucky (there is a chance you’ll never be like before), and you’ll need to use ancillary drugs to kickstart your body back, which are carcinogens and have plenty of side effects too (eg. MORE limpdick).
Also, prohormones are metabolized by the liver/kidneys more than the steroids, and you can get serious liver disease.
There are VERY few steroids that increase your sexdrive, but it’s totally not worth it.
Besides porn, more, sex, exercise, sleep and proper nutrition and mineral and vitamin supplementation, there is no way to increase your testosterone. If you’re not planning for having kids, and your testosterone is shot, you could get into HRT, which I’ll do when the time comes.
So good luck to whoever thinks prohormones are good.

If any of you guys are trying to increase testosterone, get some Rogaine (Minoxodil) to rub on your head. Testosterone oxidises your hair folicles and makes you go bald. I use minoxodil every day for this reason! I have a full head of hair and want it to stay like that for at least another 30 years.

ZMA is good, I would also suggest Tribulus, it has worked very well for me. ZMA before bed, tribulus when I wake up. Also lifting heavy with the compound exercises will increase your testosterone more since your body will kick into a growth stage. I always keep the reps low, rarely go over eight. I would suggest looking at MikeMahler.com he has many free articles about increasing testosterone.

Your post suggests that Rogaine will increase testosterone and that testosterone directly leads to baldness. Do you have any links to support either point?

Best way is too make heavy lifts with the legs, and other big muscles. This is also good if you want big biceps, train the legs! :)

No, I did not say that Rogaine increases testosterone….. Rubbing Rogaine on your head DOES NOT increase testosterone!!! Testosterone does cause guys to go bald through, when the Testosterone is converted into dihydrotestosterone, hair folicles are killed off. Rogaine (Minoxidil) Prevents this. So if you guys are trying to increase your testosterone levels then you should use some Rogaine to prevent you from losing your hair!

I use it for preventative reasons, my dad is bald, I would prefer not go go the same way!! I get mine on eBay pretty cheap.
