Ice on glans.

Can anyone feel an ice cube on the top part of their glans? I don’t mean the underside of the penis nor the ‘ring’ between the glans and the shaft, because those are really sensitive areas. But do you feel ice on your top side of your glans (between that ‘ring’ and the peehole)? I can feel hot water on it, but not so much coldwater/ice. Let me know, wondering if I’m desensitized. Thanks!

I’m not sure anymore but I think I experience the opposite of you. I feel cold but I barely feel warm anymore.

I can barely feel it on the sides of the glans you describe, a little more on the top and on the penis it feels “as it should”.

What’s this about refresh?

We should all be able to feel hot and cold with any portion of our skin. If we can’t there’s a problem. How severe that might be depends.

You losing sensitivity or something? Or are you just seeing what you can ask people to do for the hell of it?

Yeah I’m with seven and beyond, I can feel it on the peehole region and underneath, or on the shaft, but not on the majority of the glans. And no I can’t feel ice on my glans. I guess the best way to describe were to be to look at your the thumb and pretend it is your glans, the portion where your nail is, I can’t feel anything cold, but I can feel heat.

If this is a concern to you, go see a doctor. Instead of asking others to ‘experiment’ for you.

OK, I’ll play. Yes, I can feel it, but not as much as I had anticipated I might.

From it:
"The glans penis is primarily innervated by free nerve endings and has primarily protopathic sensitivity. Protopathic sensitivity refers to cruder, poorly localized feelings (including pain, some temperature sensations and certain perceptions of mechanical contact). In the glans penis, encapsulated end-organs are sparse, and found mainly along the glans corona and the frenulum. The only portion of the body with less fine-touch discrimination than the glans penis is the heel of the foot."

So, it’s not a surprise from an anatomical point of view that you and I don’t have great cold sensitivity to that part of the glans, and that you have greater sensitivity in the corona and below the external meatus of the urethra, where the frenulum (or its remnants, if circumcised) is.

Hmm interesting.. And I’ve been using vaseline like crazy now as a super duper lubricant, and can actually feel a lil bit more, maybe the glans has just been too roughened/slight nerve damage (it heals). Thanks!

Is it the case that you are circumcised? There is the theory that the glans protected by a foreskin is more sensitive than the circumcised penis, where the glans is not protected in that way is in direct contact with clothing and such, and becomes drier and rougher. It should be noted that there is a wide divergence of opinion on this theory.

If you’ve been applying more vaseline to your glans and it is softer and slightly more sensitive than it was, perhaps this is why.

Yeah it’s circumcised, and my thumb usually rubs right along the area which doesn’t feel much.. That could be why.
