I almost got sucked into one of these debates when I first joined this forum. Anyway, why the fuck not this time.

Lets define a swinger IMO. I think my opinion counts because I have been to more swinger events and parties than most swingers. My wife and I are for sure in the top 5%.

1, Swingers DON’T CHEAT! If you’re cheating on your wife you’re not a swinger you’re an asshole.

2, So called swing clubs that let women in free, couples for $25.00 and charge single men $150.00 are NOT SWING CLUBS. They never have been. NO swinger will ever call one a swing club. It is that simple. Call them what you want but they are gang bang clubs. It’s another fetish all together. I am pretty sure this was where our Air Force guy was going.

So now we know this guy WAS NOT A SWINGER! I say that because swing parties get set up with extra women (if anything) not extra men 99.9% of the time. Not saying that he did not go to one that already had extra women at them it’s just unlikely. It’s even more unlikely because he was cheating on his wife. NO swing party will allow that to happen. EVER!

Guess what, Just because you have sex with someone HIV positive does not mean your going to catch it. THIS IS A FACT! Any gay or bi guy on this forum can tell you this.

I though what you were stating was common knowledge actually. It is in medical textbooks that male homosexual behavior increases ones chance of contracting HIV, I know since I’m a nursing student. Same goes for African 3rd world countries and heroin users.

I thought swingers slept with men and women they were not married too? For it to be cheating are you saying it has to be against the will of their spouse and not just extra-marital sex? Whats cheating? Whats swinging?

Well anybody is entitled to believe what they want. There’s the medical industry and it’s multi million dollar HIV / AIDS empire and then there is what I consider the truth, based on the research I’ve done. I was a medical technologist for years and spent years in cell biology as well. There’s some information out there that the masses do not hear. But this is strictly my opinion. Anybody is free to believe what they want.

However, the key word here is immuno-compromised and the behaviors/lifestyles/environmental conditions that cause that to happen. In my opinion it’s not HIV that causes that to happen.

As the investigation continues, there is more information coming out. The investigation started because he used work computers to access adult networking websites. The command would know his HIV status, and so they began investigating him. His wife is cooperating with the authorities, she is looking for a plea deal.

She was aware of his activities, and they played together. He didn’t disclose his status, apparently neither did she, even though she knew. It’s probable she is also positive, but not known. (If she were having safe sex with her own husband while he bare backed other women, that would draw attention.) They had sex with women and men, it doesn’t look like he was bisexual though. She was. They used adult sites to find people online and at swinger parties in the Wichita area. Clubs haven’t been mentioned, but sounds likely.

Master, if they are swingers or not is a question of terminology. They fit the general profile - straight guy, bi girl, swing with girls for him, guys for her, couples, or at parties. If they were not "real" swingers, it’s a sure bet they had sex with real swingers.

The rest I will respond to when I am not on my phone. What I will say is anal sex is the number 1 reason gay males get HIV. As far as Africa goes. Well when 40% of the population has it like in some areas you stand a good chance of getting it. Drug users! Now how many swingers fit that profile?

Also cheating is when your doing it behind your wives back. Not together.

BTW. Are we debating swingers and HIV or HIV in general. My only debate is with the fact swingers are for the most part safe.

It looks like the first articles left out a lot of details. The records that have been released have information about the wife redacted. The media reported half the story without making it clear they didn’t know what they were missing. Just knowing that the wife was involved puts a whole different spin on it.

I didn’t post the link to start a debate. I just think it’s a disgusting story. I bet it happens more than we imagine, if he was not conducting his personal life on computers at work, no one would be the wiser. I read that the area has next to no HIV, the whole county has fewer than 800 cases. Its the kind of thing people would never imagine happening in their town, but it did.

When it comes to being safe, if you have sex, you have some risk. We each decide how much risk we are willing to take. Myself, I bare back inside my relationship, don’t use condoms to get oral, don’t give oral, and use condoms to give anal. It’s not 100% guarantee I will never get infected, but it’s what we consider a good balance of fun and safe.

Swingers (in general) trust their partners to be honest about their health. That might work, it might not. This story is a sad case of that not happening the way it should. It will take a long time before anyone knows how many people were put a risk, and if anyone was infected. The military is pressing charges, but whatever they do to him won’t be enough.

I found a link to documents that have been released to the media. This is the report that the media took to mean the wife was not involved, but it makes more sense if she were involved.

-He was attending swinger parties, she knew.
-He used multiple online profiles and email accounts from home to set up meetings with men, women, and couples.
-He filmed himself having sex with people, and did not keep the video a secret from her.
-He invited any singles (men/women) and couples to have Thanksgiving at his house, and said play was encouraged but not required.
-He had unprotected sex with multiple partners, and did not keep that a secret from her.

There’s a small chance she wasn’t exactly playing with him, but it seems unlikely. (Especially with him having events in their home.) She knew exactly what he was up to, and even if he was playing on his own with her consent, she was a fully complicit partner in what he was doing. She knew he was exposing innocent people to HIV, and did nothing to stop it. It seems like she actually encouraged it. I say they both should hang.

He was supposed to be charged sometime around mid month. Hopefully next week.

The guy was court martialed, convicted, and sentenced this week.

He was convicted of 7 counts of exposing people to HIV, along with a bunch of counts of indecent acts, adultery (yes, a crime if you serve), and violating orders. He will have his rank reduced to e-1, serve 8 years in a military prison, and be dishonorably discharged. He begged the judge not to discharge him, since that will mean he loses medical care, and no insurance will touch someone with HIV. The judge was as worried about that as Guiterrez had been about his victims’ health. If he’s not able to pay the $30,000+ yearly for medicine, he will get sick and die. I think it’s a fitting punishment.
