Has anyone else experienced this?

So I have something going on, but I have no idea what it is. About a year ago, I started developing strange syptoms. First of all, my inner thighs suddenly start to darken, and then the same thing happened with my armpits with my armpits being very itchy.

Also, I am having some itching in the perirectal area, the area between the genitals and the rectum. Lately, I have begun to experience some itching in the back of my knees, and at one point experienced the same things on the top of my right foot and on my hands. The itchiness has gone away in all of the areas except the armpits and the rectum, with the discoloration remaining in the armpits.

I have been to two seperate doctors and they both diagnosed the problems as eczema and jock itch. I have tried the medicated creams that I was prescribed to no avail. I have also been tested for STD’s and hiv/aids with negative results.

I am looking for some insight to what might be the problem.

All I can is, you should trust your doctors, if anyone knows what is wrong they would know.

Could be a yeast infection or eczema. Creams don’t work on yeast infections the yeast just laugh at feeble attempts to get rid of it. Over use of antibiotics and meat fed antibiotics can cause Candida’s. Go back to the doc and get checked for yeast just to rule it out. I’ll try to find some links for eczema. Also it may be that you are allergic to your laundry soap. Try hypoallergenic laundry soap.

Thanks Kingpole. You have taken care of our brothers.

Are you under a lot of stress? I had a nasty bit of psoriasis in an inopportune location that did not respond to treatment, but it disappeared once a seemingly unrelated stress (academic survival) was resolved. Normal diet, exercise, and stress resolution can resolve so many of our health problems.

Yeast infection, that’s definitely worth looking into. Sounds so odd it could be true.

First of all, let me start by saying thanks a million, I really appreciate the feed back.

Secondly, yes I am always under stress, I am married. LOL

I will certainly look into the candida as that is what I am starting to believe it really is.

Sounds like yeast to me because of the locations of the rashes. But I could be wrong stress aggravates yeast infections. I only know all to well what yeast infec tion is like. I had what is known as super infection. Caused from antibiotic use for the two vetrecomies I had and keflex. Altogether about 12 weeks of antibiotic therapy. Broke out in the elbows and the tops of my hands and wrist. I finally had to takes a yeast cleanse or Candida cleanse for 3 months to get rid of it. The cleanse is in capsule form and consisted of 600mg of garlic oil and cabbage leaf. Eat your garlicky cabbage.

Foods to stay away from:
Yeast risen bread.
Wine.
Beer,
Vinegars
Salad dressings.
Mayonnaise.
Avoid sugar!

Foods to eat:
Yogurt two per day or more.
Garlic, onions, cabbage.

Oh yes yeast loves us diabetics.

Hey Kingpole, got a question for you. When you had the yeast issue, did you also have flaky skin accompanied by the itching?

Flaky oozy gooey. You name it, itched like a mother fucka all day all night. Drove me absolutely bonkers. I’m still loony to this day from it. I had it on the inside of my elbows and the tops of my wrist and shoulders. Also had a lot of stomach upset a lot of burping, just awful.

Thanks Kingpole for helping me to make sense of this whole situation. Here is something that I found pretty surprising.

When I went to my doctor to be screened for STD’s, he told me that he would screen me everything except herpes. The reason being is that everyone at some point in their lives have been exposed to the herpes family of viruses; therefore, you will always test positive. That, according to my doc is the reason herpes is usually diagnosed visually (by the presence of sores and or blisters.) According to some things that I have seen of the internet, more than 90% of the population has some form of herpes.

So gentleman, keep it covered!
