go for circumcision or creams?

Damnit.. problems are getting worse.

I posted a topic few months ago about a pale ring in my foreskin incl. pictures, but the sexual health section seems to be cleaned out.

Anyway quick recap: for some unknown reason I have an inflammatory ring going on my in my foreskin. The texture of the skin is different there, and a whole lot less flexible then the rest of my foreskin. Moral of the story: a tight ring cuts off my penis while erect.

I only have it since a year or so, and it didn’t used to be a problem. But now it starts to hurt and the ring becomes clearly visible. Last weekend I had a girl over, and now I’m even wounded down there.. maybe she worked me too hard with that hand of hers, but maybe it wouldn’t have happened if everything wasn’t so tight.

I’ve gone through some online research, and as far as I can see I have two options now when I go see a Doctor:

- I ask for some creams to -hopefully- stretch the skin and get the pale area out
- I ask for a circ to cut it out

I have to note that I suffer from really bad premature ejaculation, but it isn’t a big deal because I’m usually multi-orgasmic.
Maybe a circ will help me out on this?
And I also like the idea of having no foreskin in terms of hygiene.

On the other hand, I used to like my foreskin when it was healthy in terms of jelqing.
Currently it gets impossible, so I defiantly need to get rid of the ring. One way or the other.

I’m 23 years old.

But before I make a decision, I’d like to know if there are any other disadvantages of an adult circ I’m overseeing?

You probably need to change your thread viewing options to see the older threads. We don’t remove threads or clean out forums.

Go to the User Control Panel (“user cp” button at the top of the page). Select “Edit Options” from the “Settings & Options” drop-down menu. Find the “Default Thread Age Cut Off” section and change it to “Show All Threads.” That should allow you to find your old thread.

Regarding your problem: Before you make any treatment decisions you need a diagnosis. See the physician first and find out what the problem is. You may be offered a treatment that is not as radical as circumcision.

Circumcision is, IMO, your last resort. You lose a lot with that operation. There are many online sources of information (pro and con). Some research using “circumcision” as your search term would be beneficial.

Opting for circumcision

I had circumcision done at age 21 due to foreskin being tight and hard to pull back over glans, being cisrcumsided is deffinately cleaner, but you do loose some sensitivity.Prior to circumcision I was very sensitive, I couldn’t tough my glans with a dry hand not to mention anything else.

You can also get a partial circumcision which they just put a small slit in the foreskin which will allow you to pull back the skin freely.

Thanks for the forum info wrestla.

Read through all of the topics. Reading all those mixed reactions makes it even harder actually =)

I don’t know, maybe I should just consult my docter.

I cured my phimosis by simply stretching the ring ! If you actually want circumcision then go for it, but if it is not really severe you can stretch it also with help of some creams !

I’m really sorry to bump this thread again, but after almost a year I’m still suffering from this problem. I already consulted my doc, and he said it was inflammation.

Now tomorrow I will try to visit a dermatologist, because I think I have all the symptoms of Lichen Sclerosus.
Just posting this for if somebody runs into this thread again through the search or something.

The foreskin became really tight in the meanwhile, and I have tiny cuts that slit open on erection because of the tightness.
A circ seems inevitable.

Circumcision isn’t a drama after all. It will put an end-line to your issue.

I seem to indeed have the rare LS skin problem.
My dermatologist confirmed it.

Thursday I have an appointment with the urologist (consultation) from which the circ will be planned.
I’m glad to read there are some advantages to it as well.

At least you now have a diagnosis. Good luck with your surgery.

Madnez,
I am not for circumcision, but understand it may be necessary sometimes.

If you do get cut I would recommend asking the surgeon to cut only the minimum necessary to fix the problem. Ask him to leave as much skin as he can.

Good luck,

Thanks westla90069.

4Foreskin, could you motivate that?

I was just starting to read about all the benefits of a tight snit.
(many topics I plowed through on this forum as well)

I don’t know what you mean by, “could I motivate that?”

Did you mean to say something like the following: What is your rationale for recommending keeping some loose skin?

4Foreskin ;)

Dude, if you have to get circed, ask for a loose cut. All penises look the same erect anyway. Your glans need some protection and if you have extra skin you can still pull your skin over your glans when they get too dried out. I have a loose cut and wear the YOUR SKIN CONE all day to keep my glans protected and shiny.

I had the exact same problem you’re describing. The only thing that cured it was circumcision. The creams totally irritated my glans. I like the feel of not having to worry my foreskin anymore. Many people say you lose sensitivity in your glans but, for me was the totally opposite. I actually became more sensitive. Before, just the slightest touch would hurt my glans. Now I find I enjoy sex much more.

I had an adult circumcision done and have been very happy indeed with it.

It is definitely worth asking them to leave your frenulum intact though.

All injuries happen from "too much", or "too much, too soon" or "doing the exercise incorrectly".
