epididymal cyst, varicocele surgery

Around four years ago, I went to see an urologist about a small painful bump on my right testicle. I was a little bit concerned that it might be cancer, but not real concerned. After examination, the doctor said it was a small epididymal cyst, and there was a varicocele on the the left one. Both relatively common, and nothing to worry about. But the cyst has slowly become bigger and a bit more painful, and I don’t like the size distortion, and uneven look of my balls, as the varicocele side is now bigger and hanging quite a bit lower than the other. I’m just curious if anyone has had one of these, or both of these conditions and had them fixed. Both are treated under local anaesthetic, on an outpatient basis. Not much more complicated than a vasectomy. I’m just curious about price and recovery time really, as I’ve decided to get them both fixed, but don’t have insurance, so it will be an out of pocket expense for me. Thanks for any help.

I have one and it was much larger at one time. I take a product call Immuplex and another one called Orchic PMG. It has slowly shrunk down. Look to the surgery for the last resort.

I am having a varicocele surgery December 6th due to pain , but 1 out of 3 doctors told me that is not whats causing the pain . He has no explanation why is happening since is the left testicle and is usually connected to the left kidney that I don’t have . Now all of sudden yesterday I am feeling a lump on top of my left testicle and its painful if touched .

I have been in a lot through out my life but these is the worse time .

I just had my varicocelectomy done yesterday and couldn’t sleep all night cause I was over 100% erect lol , and it was one of those erections that don’t go away even if you fully awake .

I don’t want to keep my hopes up cause I have red it is like that for the first week but then it returns to normal . I am even getting spontaneous erection through out the day when I’m just thinking about sex.

What was your pain level like? How about your recovery time? About a week?

Sorry to get back so late ray . Pain level before the surgery from 1-10 it was a 7 sometime 5 . The surgery it wasn’t bad at all, it was just hard to sleep the first couple of nights cause the incision site but after one month now I feel a whole lot better no more pain . It’s worth doing it in my opinion just for better testicular function in the future.

Remember even after the surgery it takes about 3 months for those veins to atrophy .
Ps ,I was wearing support for the first couple of weeks and it helped a lot . If its a grade 2 or 3 I suggest you do it .
