I never really paid much attention until reading some articles on ED and Erection quality. I never get a 100% or even 90% erection without stimulating myself. Then when I do get hard if I don’t touch it, it just goes back down to a fat flacid. I have been know to excessively masturbate and have now made a “no more then once a week” rule. I started taking a variety of sex herbs (on different days) and am going to start a cardio program.

I also ordered some Viagra. If I am able to get up to a 90% erection by stimulating myself will Viagra work? now some personal information about myself.

I rarely get morning wood. I think about a month ago I got morning wood like 4 days in a row. I am not sure what I did to get that though.

I recently got a CBC and full lipid panel done (blood work). Everything came back literally perfect.

I am not taking any medications except for the sex herbs.

My cardio does seem out of shape. Wasn’t doing cardio because I didn’t want to lose muscle mass. I might need to do it anyways.

Any info would really really be appreciative. And if I take a 50mg or 100mg viagra before intercourse on an empty stomach, That will pull me through right?

Your depression is probably the most important factor.

Try 50 mg of the V. Should work. And, if things work out right in your general life (you get rid of the depression), you won’t need the V for many years.

Yeah dude if you’re in shape (check), all your panels came back fine (check), then its 99% for sure due to the depression. your depression probably leads you to a negative attitude towards your ability to get an erection and then it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy/vicious cycle.

Maybe it’s the sex herbs if you’ve been taking them a long time. What are you taking?

I think what you are describing is pretty common. I have the same thing and I’ve asked some friends and quite a few are the same. I suspect if you didn’t masturbate or have sex for a few weeks, you’d start getting 100% strength morning wood etc. There is another thread on this topic and loads of guys chimed in claiming the same thing. It’s not rare, some guys get erect easily, others need constant stimulation. Why this is I don’t know, but I wouldn’t worry about it. It’s only a problem if you convince yourself all other men get great erections without physical stimulation, which is far from the truth.

Btw, how old are you and are you circumcised? I think these are 2 important factors, as I believe a circumcised penis needs more physical stimulation to become erect and over time our penis’s acclimatise to this and thus can only get erect when physically stimulated. And age is important as frequency and strength of erection seems to naturally decline with age. My guess is that the average circumcised guy, over the age of 20, is just as likely to need physical stimulation as not, hence it’s perfectly normal.

I am 24 and Circumcised. I hope to god you are right man! The one thing that worrys me is I catch myself keggling when I am hard to try and keep a 100% which I think makes me cum early. I do have some 50mg viagra on the way (and 4 100mg for free =) ). That way I don’t have to worry if I come across a sexual encounter.

I agree with you 100%. Since I made it a habit of masturbating sitting down, I have a hard time keeping and achieving an erection standing up. I have made some improvement by training to masturbate standing up, although I still sit down to get my erection.

To the original poster, I don’t think you have ED. I masturbate a lot like you, and if I stop stimulation for more than 10 seconds my erection starts to fade out quickly. I think the masturbation and the constant need of stimulation are related, just based on similar cases to ours that I have read.

Anyways I don’t think this ED, as some members have already mentioned, some can keep their erections for hours and others cant. Don’t worry too much about it or you will make it worse, just try not to think of it. I have an awesome sex life by the way.

My goal is to get this down to 70. That is my resting heart rate 70 BPM. Then I will know I have good cardio. If anyone has any good tips on how to get there faster let me know. I am almonst certain that good cardio = good EQ.
