Guys am I supposed to expect to get a new hormone panel every time I switch endocrinologists?

If you have access to your hormone panel and it`s a relatively new one (past ones may be relevant too), you should not really need a new one for your first consultation, although some probably want to take new tests anyway.

Good lord. Find a doc who SPECIALIZES in this! And leave out the natural supplements!

Let me explain.

When you take something to lower your estrogen, your body senses that it is too low, and therefor increases the testosterone production (we need estrogen, which is converted by testosterone via the aromatase enzyme) Something like arimidex, and either cabergoline or bromocriptine, would lower estrogen+prolactin very well.

Like ironaddict said but with an al you would have to find a sweat spot cause if you lower estrogen to much that isn’t so good either .

Current 8 bpel /7.25 nbp 6.25 eg .

Goal , I be happy with 8 NBP so I can relocate her kidney.

So symptoms such as low can make one individual think that he has problems with his testosterone level.

What about depression, or anxiety ? Can’t that rule out some of the positive effects about an individual, and bring in the bad causing him to think he has low testosterone.

How are those tests even accurate ?

Well you can see they accurate enough it’s obvious that he has high prolactin levels and estradiol and that’s causing the hormonal imbalance . Sure a lot of things can cause low test but prolactin its a whole different ball game . I think if he lowers estradiol and prolactin there is a big chance that testostrone will go back up .

Prolactin in my opinion is the worst. I feel fine with higher E2 levels, but PRL kills me.

I too have high prolactin.. Last time I had blood tests it was at 25, like sed.

Do you know supplements to lessen prolactin, iron?

I read Pygeum works. Any other?

fodedor,

Like I said earlier, high prolactin can at worst be caused by a prolactinoma (tumor), so you need to find the cause before you start lowering it naturally.

Renholder you are correct. However tumors causing excess prolactin will cause it to raise to the 1,000’s. Imagine how shitty THAT would feel.

The things that nuke prolactin from the 25 range down to zero or one, are bromocriptine and cabergoline. Both RX drugs, but easily found online, also not hard to get a prescription for, so try and go that route. Can’t imagine many doctors not letting a patient try them if you bring some literature on what they do and how they can be used off label as mood brighteners (raising dopamine) and making sex better, for a 10$ a month prescription (insurance is 5x more likely to cover bromocriptine than cabergoline FYI) Both work well, but 2.5 mg of bromo is basically the same as .5 mg of caber, however caber only needs to be taken 3 times a week as bromo is every night, and DO take these at night, I assure you.

In the end, we will all always be here to talk and help you. But it comes down to you really hauling ass and finding a doc that will cooperate with your needs, and also know the safe way to get guys hormones roaring the right way, as we were intended to do so as humans. If you have any other questions, please post them here. I don’t like PM’s for many reasons, the most being other people cannot learn from them.

Cabergoline does not really have any crazy side effects beside people have tendencies to gamble more . And I’m sure that depends on the person cause when I took it I wasn’t really gambling.

I read Levodopa (L-Dopa) does wonders too.. But I did not want to take chances with the side effects.

Thanks. I will research about that.

Don’t want to thread jack with this present post.

Seeing that you guys are a lot more knowledgeable than myself, what about the Total Zero or Sugar Free Energy Drinks ?

Can those coffee alternatives raise the levels of Prolactin?

It’s pretty much an alternative for Coffee that get’s me going throughout the day. Not a big fan of Coffee, I guess I have different habits.

None of that shit happened to me or anyone else I know. I wish it gave me that “hypersexuality” aspect as well, but not that dramatic.

I just got news that my insurance doesn’t want to cover the HRT because they said that I don’t need that stuff at my age. As you all can imagine I am over the top about this. What gives! I can’t afford a new plan as I’m in college. The lady at the Dr office was informed that they wouldn’t cover but said that new tests would maybe change their opinion. Is that even possible. Seems like I take one step forward and 3 steps back. NOTHING is going my way as far as health at this point in my life.
