Considering revision Circumcision, advice needed

Considering revision Circumcision, advice needed

Hi everyone,

I am considering a revision circumcision after putting up with a poor original circumcision I had 10 years ago due to tight foreskin. I never wanted a circumcision but was only a teenager when I had it done and wasn’t aware of the other options available to cure Phimosis/tight foreskin. Anyway I was left with a bad raised circumcision scar which was very untidy and also painful when it comes to sex, especially oral which I have to pretty much avoid completely. So after leaving it for 10 years out of embarrassment and just putting up with it I am now at a stage where I can have the procedure done again. But here is my predicament; obviously another circumcision would remove more penile shaft skin due to cutting away the scar. At the moment when I am erect the skin is not super tight but it isn’t exactly loose either, cutting another say 1cm of skin away to take out the scar line would likely make the skin very tight when erect. So I am really not sure what to do.

My questions are, how much can you honestly stretch your penis skin if say the skin ended up very tight after the new circumcision? Has anyone experienced something similar to this? I imagine when erect the penis would just pull more skin from the scrotum and pubic area? I really want to get this sorted, it has caused me to avoid sex many times out of insecurity and out of knowing it will be painful, it is difficult to explain this if you have different partners. If the scar was less painful and a little neater and the skin wasn’t made too tight it would be a great relief for me. But is it worth the risk? Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Skin stretches fairly easily; when you grow your penis with PE, the skin grows along with it - it doesn’t usually get any tighter. If you see someone who has gained then lost a lot of weight, you see how much saggy skin they end up with - the skin stretched as they gained weight. Initially it would be tighter, but it would adapt.

Got to agree with firegoat that skin stretches even easier than your penis, pumping actually restored some of my foreskin which I didn’t want.

Think very carefully about the risks of surgery though, are you confident in finding a surgeon who’ll do a good job or is it an NHS lucky dip ?0

Thanks for the replies firegoat and capernicus. Not NHS this time, I have never had any luck with them. I am going private but I guess it is still somewhat luck of the draw. There are a couple of people who now do the Circumcision, stitch/suture free and just use surgical glue which apparently usually gives a better result with less thick scarring and stitch marks etc. This is the option I am looking to go for at the moment.

Tensile tissue expansion doesn’t really have a limit. You’re creating more cells which in turn are able to divide to make more cells. Just have a look at National Geographic pics of people with earlobes stretched to their shoulders. It’s not the original earlobe thinned and elongated, it’s more earlobe.

Foreskin restorers measure skin expansion progress in terms of Forced Erect Coverage. Get erect and force the skin to cover as much of the glans as you comfortably can. Measure how much glans is sticking out uncovered. You can improve this reading by 1mm - 3mm per month if wearing gentle tension 8-12 hours per day.

Thanks that is somewhat reassuring. I am going to book the appointment this week.

Currently mainly worried about turkey neck at the moment as there is less skin on the underside of the shaft and removing more skin to remove the scar line will mean some tightness and major turkey neck. But I suppose over time I will be able to fix that with stretches.

I would strongly recommend that before considering any surgery, try wearing your existing skin rolled forward over the glans 24/7 for several months. You may feel differently about your scar.

Thanks for your input. Can I ask what you think may make me feel differently about the scar if I do this? The scar would still be there and still raised and tender when the skin is pulled back for intercourse wouldn’t it? Also I don’t really have enough skin to get up over the glans at the moment.

Go to the ReJuveness web site to read how they feel the undesirable aspects of keloid scars can resorb. You may find the new suppleness of the scar makes it something you can live with. After all, getting re-cut means you WILL have a scar (as well as even less of your original equipment), and there is no certainty that you will like the new any better or come through with no other unintended consequences.

If you can FORCE your skin into position to cover the glans then you can wear the skin like that 24/7 by using a silicone cone (like I sell) or a modified baby bottle nipple as a retainer.

Good luck with the new circumcision. I was cut six years ago and still feeling tightness in the skin over my shaft, sometimes pullling uncomfortably on the glans when erect. Also, my scrotum definitely goes further up my shaft than pre cut. Just starting out on my PE journey and hoping that this will stretch the skin a bit too.

Thanks. What you have said has certainly made me debate holding off on the procedure although a deposit had already been put down for the procedure to take place in a few weeks before I saw this. I checked out your website and Rejuveness regarding the scarring. With the current state of scarring and the tenderness I can’t imagine it would heal to a state where it would be pain free enough for me to be happy with it. Although I completely believe in the bodies self healing abilities, the extent of the scar seems to much to heal to ever be able to fully enjoy sex without it causing me issues. But who knows.

My hope is that i can have the revision circumcision removing as little skin as possible and resulting in neater less painful scar. The surgeon is going to use glue which is said to give a smother scar then stitches. Then following this i could use the ReJuveness methods on the new scar and begin to restore my forskin and to reduce turkey neck, that is the aim. I just hope it all goes ok.

Thank you and good luck with your PE journey and stretching the skin.

Revision circumcision coming up in a few days and I have just been reading up more into circumcision and what were my original options for tight foreskin over 10 years ago and am so frustrated. First of all originally I could of simply had the dorsal slit method to cure my tight foreskin when this all began. Secondly I could have had sleeve resection circumcision with causes much less scarring. But no the surgeon just decided to go for the bodge job method and just chop off the foreskin and frenulum and then stitch it to the shaft leaving thick tender scarring.

I should have looked into this before the original circumsion but I was only young at the time and didn’t realise there were various options. Why wasn’t I informed by these knife happy surgeons. All of this hassle over the years could have been avoided had I just been informed of my options.

It’s in the past. So forget about it. All the best for your up-coming surgery!
