Condum anxiety....

Yes, too tight at the base, but if I go bigger, they’re too big…as you can see, I’m no magnum.

I guess the first thing to do is find the right condoms.

You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

I sure wish some company would market a THIN Magnum XL size condom! There is a thin Magnum-size condom made by Durex called “Maximum.” It is pretty nice. You can feel much more sensation than with a Magnum.

Maybe they’ll make a “Maximum XL,” or “Maximum Plus” some day. Unfortunately, the market for XL condoms is pretty small, so I don’t see it happening anytime soon. This is further proof that there are very few men even close to 6” girth. If the demand was there, you can bet companies would be clambering to produce XL condoms. The fact that only a single company makes them, and that there is NO thin version, produced by ANY company, is proof that there aren’t too many thick guys in the general population.

I moved this here as it seems to be the type of subject for here. If any other mod disagrees, they can put it back.

See this is why I like this forum. I often have a problem of losing erection when putting on a condom also, and was sure I was the only one. I don’t know why it happens it just does.

It was the worst when one time the girl I was with gave me a condom for “prolonged erection”. Yeah right it has some sort of numbing medication in it. I didn’t know it was this kind when I put it on but the head of my dick was almost completly numb. Lost the erection and couldn’t get it back the rest of the night.

I could barely feel the head with my fingers after I took it off. It was embarassing and really frustrating. Luckily she was pretty understanding though a bit curious as to why.

I had not used a condom for about 10 -12 years prior being in a monogomous relationship and my gf/wife was on the pill. Divorced now and wanting to get back into the “groove”, this condom issue is a bit frustrating.

Glad to know I’m not the only one.

I am sorry that I don’t understand. I have never been with anyone that had a problem staying hard while putting his condom on. I guess that was a good thing. But then I had a habit of wanting to put the condom on to assure it was there.

I decided to ask my husband about condoms and the conversation went like this:

Honey, I am reading the guys talk about having problems with condoms. Have you ever had…

Husband: :rolling: (lasted a good five seconds) As if I would ever have a problem with condoms.

Me: You didn’t let me finish. (While laughing at him) Have you ever had a problem with the condoms being too tight around the base.

Husband: We both know I don’t have a problem getting one that fits.

I’ll convince him to PE sooner or later.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I have the same problem

Mine started in HS when the darned thing would not go on, it was way way too small. So I
developed a complex that has never left.

I had no idea since the other guys had no trouble.

Today, I view with dread ever having to use one, but the bigger ones do help. I just do not
use them and I gusss that is why I am alone.

My vasetomy helps some but STDs are rampant.

I am sorry some ladies do not understand this phobia but it is real.

It is a small minority of guys. Women tend to laugh at it.

Not all women Phat, just the uniformed ones.

Yah, I beagn having the same problem too, I lost my virginity to another virgin who was on the pill so we never used condoms. Finally 2 years later when i finally had sex with someone else, I finally used a condom, thankfully I had expeiremented with my 1st girl using a condom and knew that it was a huge turn off, so that first time with the other girl i used the little blue pill, hehe (it also was good for free publicity, word gets around campus quick about stamina, hehe) but anyways, i have resorted to putting the condom on while giving oral like mentioned aerlier or if the girl isnt that liucky ill just have it ready the second a pre -sex BJ is done(not cumming of course)…If your lucky the girl will give your dick a noce message to keep you hard while she puts it on.

I swear I'm going to stop at 8... ok maybe 8.5 :D

I have to say that I hate condoms and I’m glad that I will never have to use one again. That’s all I have to say about that.

It can always get bigger right?

I just used random ones……I’ve kind of got a bit of a collection going for when it’s best to use a condom. My favourite so far are these ones I got in Thailand, they are really fine latex with an indent just below the glands and a few assorted pimples and ridges :D

When I loose my erection in a condom, it’s not coming back without taking the condom off first. So I’m not putting on the condom before my erection is really strong enough. When it’s just not hard enough yet I have the perfect excuse to ask for a blowjob :)

If you’re 5.5” girth, you’re most certainly “Magnum sized”. Condom length doesn’t vary much between sizes. Regular condoms have an unstretched girth of 4.75” or so.

I didn’t realize it was a phobia. Does it have a clinical name? I’d like to read up on that. Some women don’t understand because they don’t have a dick to really understand. They either accept it or they don’t. Honestly, I am sure a lot of women would think it is something wrong with them, before thinking there was something wrong with the man. Such as, he’s not attracted to me etc.

Adding to my second point, I don’t think women laugh. Not if they care. Even if they don’t care, I doubt when they are in the mood that requires a condom, that laughter is in mind, unless they were already acting silly. Any man with a woman who laughs at him not being able to stay hard, and he’s not laughing, is heartless.

anna;

Part of condom problem is the break from lovemaking that’s required while you get one on.

We guys are absolutely phobic about losing our erections, even partially. Insertion, after all, is our crowning moment.

One thing that can help is having the condom real handy so you don’t have to grope around in the dark for one. Put one in an easily reachable place, with the foil already torn partially so you don’t end up having to chew on the goddamned package in a panic (as you wilt).

If you put a little lube on your glans before putting the condom on, this increases sensitively by a great margin.

Condom size is a critical factor, as is the type you use. Experiment with many until you find the one you like best.
