Cardio and Erection Strength

Surely this is not normal as I don’t even remember the last time I woke up with wood, I am 21 years old, in very good shape, only my EQ seems to be out of shape..
Anybody have any advice?

We are on the same boat, my gym sessions are mainly cardio and this affect my erections negatively. My EQ has been terrible in the past 10 years, I’ve tried everything to get it back to normal, done tests with urologists but nothing is found. What I do know is that the more I train, the worse my EQ becomes.. I always thought that it’s because my leg muscles need blood the most after training. My partner always tell me that my whole body goes into spasm at night as if I have an epileptic seizure (this happens if I’ve been running a lot) and she wakes me up as this scares her. I’m sure there is something wrong with my system but I’ve given up to find out. I have avoided relationships because of embarrassment of not getting it up as fit as I look. I have not been able to keep up with PE because of that as well.

I will suggest something and if you like try it.

Lift heavy and slow.

Your only cardio should be either 30-40 minutes of fast paste walking 4-5 days a week or 20 minutes of swimming 3-4 days a week. No running , no jogging. Go ahead and try.

BPEL 7 EG 5.5 NBPEL 6.5 Flaccid length 4.5. Started Jan 2015 at bpel 6.5 nbpel 6.0 and eg 5.2 flaccid length was 3.5

I have reached my goal. At least for now.

I remember this post. I only do light cardio for 20mins after i lift weights now. My erection issues due to porn have been resolved because it has been nearly a year since I have been porn free.

7-20-16: BP: 7.63 NBP 6.75 x 5.75

3-22-17: BP: 8.44 NBP 7.56 x 5.75

Started seeing improvement about 2 months in. Around month 4 or 5 is where i started having having sex without going soft. If you want the process to maybe go faster I would ditch all social media like facebook, instagram, and others for a while. I would constantly see photos shared by friends of hot girls semi nude and sometimes when i saw a new pic of a hot female friend I would start browsing her photos. That doesnt help either. At some points i thought I was not recovered because I wasnt horny all the time but once it was time for sex I was ready.

Its funny that this thread has been bumped because I too have just gotten back into doing cardio after slacking on that side of my workout for years. Last week I began doing about 8 minutes of jump rope prior to my workout and 2 rounds of 3:00 boxing on the heavybag post workout. Anyways, when last week during my leg workout, I had just finished doing a set of hack squats when I look up and see some guy do a double take shocked look at my pants and I was thinking “what is he looking at?” I looked down and saw that I had the biggest hardest erection that i have ever had. I swear I had to have been at like 8.5 - 9 inches or something. I didnt even realize that I had an erection and was embarrassed to have one in the middle of the gym like that. Im not sure if anyone else was looking but I got myself out of that area of the gym fast just in case. Lol Anyways these guys that skip out on leg day dont know what they are missing. Its funny because before when I went out on a date, I would go to the gym first to make my arms look as jacked as possible, but now I am thinking a light legbworkout is much better to do. :)

Starting: 6 7/8 EL X 4.8 EG (estimated since I didn't measure)

Current: 8.5 EL X 5.5 EG

Goal: 8.5 X 6.25

I lift heavy and have been neglecting cardio for the last 10 years because I am naturally lean, but I know I need to get back into it.

My EQ has been terrible for awhile and I take regular ED meds to remedy that.

I’m going to start adding in a few cardio sessions a week because if nothing else it will help with my stamina during sex which has been lacking.

Do you watch porn? It could be overtraining as well or vitamin deficiency.

Cardio exercises are generally good for increasing testosterone levels and releasing endorphins, which make you feel good or experience “runner’s high”. Long distance running however, has been shown to reduce testosterone levels.

Personally, I feel better and more easily aroused when I’m working out regularly, whether it’s cardio or strength training. I only run a maximum of 10 km per session though, which is not considered long distance.

So I decided to visit a cardiologist and a neurologist as I was thinking that there’s a possibility that there’s an issue somewhere. And to my disappointment, there is nothing wrong that could be detected so far. The neuro did a lumbar scan as he thought there might be a pinched nerve. The search continues.

Do you watch porn? If so that is the problem.

I think both cardio and heavy lifting have given me positive results regarding increases in testosterone and stamina in the bedroom. Also, it can’t hurt to bring the fatpad down when it comes to your NBPEL.

I learned that you have to get to around 10 percent bodyfat for the fat pad to budge atleast in my case. Overly obese people with more than an inch of fat pad could get it down to 1 inch just by getting to normal weight but I am fairly lean now about 12 percent bodyfat and mine hasn’t moved any yet. Lean enough to see my ab outlines in good lighting without flexing and very visible when flexed. Still it is about .8. Even when I bulked up 20-30lbs slowly it stayed the same.

I haven’t had my body fat measured in a while but I’m fairly lean. I’m 6’3” about 190 lbs. My waist fluctuates between 31” and 32”. I just can’t seem to get my fat pad below 1”. I recently lost about 15 lbs while gaining muscle but I just can’t seem to get rid of it.

It is the reason my goal length is between 8.75 and 9bp to compensate for my fat pad.
