I’ve been experimenting with edging, hoping to increase the amount of cum I ejaculate, but the reverse has been happening. When I finally let my self orgasm not much ejaculate comes out. Why is this?

To add my $0.02, I’m not sure why, but any sort of moderate to intense kegeling in any form usually kills my erection, and kills PIs for a day. Unless it is “unconscious” (i.e., like during sex). If I am consciously trying to kegel hard, it’s bad for me.

So, my ballooning is all the same as you described, but with no conscious kegeling. I find that relaxing, breathing, and a nice steady but slow motion on the lower shaft are the keys.

I’ve gone as much as 45 minutes doing this, and I swear I could cut a diamond! :-)

Also, I think it may contribute to gains. Keeping at max size for as long as possible is the goal of many PE exercises, right?

The way I describe ballooning is actually very similar to what is described as “edging” here, but with continued controlled stimulation of the shaft and avoiding the glans in order to avoid ejaculation and get expansion/increased erection strength. Reverse kegels are an important part of this technique, but I use super pulling kegels as well. (It’s important to note that super pushing kegels are not the same as reverse kegels as well.)

At any rate, whatever works for you is great. I don’t think there’s really a right or wrong to do this—it’s all about learning your own responses, gaining control, increasing and prolonging pleasure. So no worries. (:

Sorry I missed this question satyre. I’m sorry, but I really don’t have an answer to that. Maybe try drinking plenty of water and holding off on ejaculating for a couple of days?

Cobra, that’s interesting, and I think rather unusual. Usually kegels help to improve EQ. Have you tried doing the different kinds of “kegels” outlined in the “Dick Control” thread? A pulling kegel will draw energy away from your genitals, and thus can reduce the erection, but a pushing kegel, or a ‘kegel’ that starts from up inside around the prostate and ‘pushes’ down and out can increase arousal. Try out different variations.

Just tried this for the first time in my life. I did not succeed completely, but almost. It feels like a really powerful technique and it increased the pleasure for me considerably. Even now as I sit here and blew my load like 5 minutes ago I still have a massive engorged flaccid, not the regular shriveled one :) .

Ballooning takes a lot of time to do = a lot of porn = big chance of desensitization. I think.

Great explanation of what balooning is! Keeping a maximum engorged erection for extended periods. Integrated into edging after exercises will help to fill the expansion created and thus aid in usable gains.

Not to undermine anybody’s complex theories here, but it seems to me this concept is little more than seducing one’s erection without the “stripping” motion which pull the blood back out of it (what happens when stroking) and the “magical” pressure point at the base of the dorsal side is where the largest vein is, so blocking that naturally encourages the penis to inflate.

In fact, it sounds odd, but this happens to be how I first discovered erections… when I was very young I remember pushing on the top of my penis and achieving erections without any stroking whatsoever. It was years actually before I realized I wasn’t “jerking off” correctly haha. I currently apply that knowledge while clamping- putting downward pressure on the top of the clamp allows for insane (be careful) amounts of internal pressure.

Could we not help out the confused a great deal by simplifying this a little bit and getting down to the brass tax of what makes the penis “balloon” to its maximum in the first place? No offense to those who take to these things like second nature, but “breathing” with my asshole and painting traffic signs all over my penis so I don’t touch the wrong nerve ending can seem a bit bogus.
