Anyone with Zoloft experience

I went to the doctor couple of weeks ago and he prescribed me 50 ml Zoloft. I did start taking it and notice that my morning woods were gone.

Last Tuesday at a party I got drunk and ended up at the hotel with 2 beautiful girls . They were going down on each other like there was no tomorrow , I did put the condom on but soon as I got behind her my dick went down so I just let them go to work on each other for a little while . After one of them left my dick got up and I fucked the other only for 5-7 min and I went soft again .

My question is , is it the Zoloft or “whiskey dick” ? I stop taking the Zoloft anyway after 2 weeks of use and I’m suppose to go see these girls again Thursday . I know that Zoloft side effect is decreased libido but how long after you stop taking it those symptoms go away ?

Okay, your bad experience with the girls sounded alcohol related. I can’t get an erection for shit when I’m drunk and I’m still in my early 20s.

I’ve heard that Zoloft can negatively impact your erectile quality, but I’m not sure it does it with everyone. Plus, I don’t think that shit really starts “working” until it’s been in your system for several weeks. Maybe you had reached that point, though. But, like I said above, it sounds like alcohol dick in that instance.

One more thing: I’d recommend taking your medication. Typically when you prescribed something, a medical professional deems you need it. You should take it :)

Thanks gator, I was prescribed Zoloft cause I’m going through a ugly separation with my soon to be ex wife as a mood stabilizer , I think I should be able to do that on my own cause I rather have my libido .

I forgot to mention that night I did pump for 15min twice and those girls did give me Ecstasy, don’t even know why I took it I’m drug free I don’t even smoke weed I guess I was really drunk and exited .

Bignik — stay away from Zoloft. Stay THE HELL away from Paxil. Very high incident of sexual sides (EQ difficulties). Also Paxil is very very difficult to get off of.

I have not taken Zoloft, but I have never heard anything good about it.

I have taken Paxil. It made it super-difficult to get a hard on. No sensitivity. Also very difficult to cum.

I was not on it very long. I then went to Celexa and EQ problems went away.

Of the SSRI’s, Celexa and Lexapro have the lowest incidents of sexual sides. Small percentage of people experience them, as opposed to Paxil say, where lots of people experience sides.

You might also ask your doc about Welbutrin XL. It works differently than the SSRI’s, as it increases your dopamine levels. It can actually raise your libido. Doesn’t work for everybody though.

Now a note: A bunch of guys are going to rush in and tell you not to take anti-depressants. I think they can be very useful in the situation you describe (ugly separation). More than likely, this is just going to be a temporary thing that will help you keep your shit together while you are going thru this hell.

I also do agree with gator - probably more due the alcohol and drugs, since you weren’t on the Zoloft that long.

I started to feel the effects of Zoloft couple of days after I was taking it cause I couldn’t ejaculate for the life of me . I already knew by then me and Zoloft wasn’t gonna get along lol.

I’ve been on Zoloft for a couple of months now. I experienced decreased libido as well as delayed ejaculation for the first few weeks of treatment. I think my body has adapted to it however, because I no longer have these side affects.

Thanks coop , I just went to the doctor yesterday and he prescribed me wellbutrin xl . I been reading about it and no on has experienced bad sexual side effects if anything Good .

It’s been a week of Zoloft and very little noticeable libido is coming back .
