Most of the products use organic chemistry.

What’s wrong with chemicals anyway?

Dupont: better living through chemistry… right?

So don’t buy that one.

Also, testoterone can produce body acne, since I have been on testosterone therapy, my shoulders, arms and back can sometimes break out. Look at the guys at the gym who are cycling as well.
Good luck.

and what about a higher chance of skin cancer?

Don’t do sunbeds! Ever!

See, now that’s just what we’re all after…that youthful glow.

It’s true that it’s difficult to find 100% organic, on the other hand that may not be desirable. Many of the preservatives are fairly benign: stearyl stearate or cetyl alcohol for example.

Dr. Perricone’s products are good, but they are $$$$ - at least for me.

These are two decent product lines that won’t kill your wallet.

You might initially feel a little gay (not that there’s anything wrong with that) putting on night cream.

What can I tell you? Either you get used to it or not.

Actually just basic antioxidants such as Alpha Lipoic Acid, DMAE, Vit. C Ester as well as Alpha Hydroxys.

RevivaLabs knocks off Perricone’s line quite well on the cheap.

And unless one is to fully embrace a true paleo lifestyle, then it is simply a matter of where on the slippery slope you choose to pitch your tent. Exposure to heavy metals, fluoride in the tap water, EM radiation from your ‘puter screen and cell phone, diesel fumes and CO as you drive down the highway. Pick your poison well, because no matter what you’ll get a dose.

I’ve been using this stuff to prevent crows feet and deepening of the horizontal lines on my forehead: mychelleusa.com

It’s pricey, but a little goes a long way. I found it for $28 at this local store: http://www.supe … .com/index.html

Andro, you stopped on the hygiene, where’s the rest? :)

I used to be like that too, I used to get mad girls. I stopped getting girls when I stopped (became a lazy arsehole) :)

Glycolic acid is a starting point.

Is it "natural"? Depends on how you define ‘nature’. Table sugar and corn aren’t particularly natural, yet we consume them with abandon.

Hygiene tip:

Brush your tongue when you brush your teeth, better yet use a tongue scraper.

Moisturize your elbows and heels, particularly as winter approaches.

Been meaning to post back on this thread, be back soon.

I have an endless supply of blackheads, and the occasional white head, on my head torso and biceps. I scrub regularly with a combination salicylic acid exfoliator bead body soap (I use this for my face too). I have an inkling of an idea that maybe if I were to use tanning beds on a regular basis, I’d actually have real clear skin for the first time since I was 5.

Am I on the right track? What can you suggest? I’ve been to one dermatologist, who has had me doing his “blue-light” therapy, I can’t really say it’s worked or not, but if so it’s damned slow about it, I want my acne GONE DAMNIT.. Sorry, but really I entered into this teenager contract with the clear understanding that acne was a TEMPORARY condition, and I expect this stipulation to be honored now that I’ve fullfilled my part of the contract.

You know that Pro-Activ junk you see pimped on TV? Give it a go. I have a dermatologist client who actually prescribes it to patients regularly. All those celebs you see in the adverts? Apparently they are volunteering to pimp it after using it successfully.

I had horrific acne growing up, so I feel your pain. If I were to have a real flair up [other than the occasional blip on the radar] I would try it ASAP.

As to ingrown hairs, I don’t have the problem usually myself, but had a friend in school who did, and he would simply shave the night before and pick out the ingrowns on the morning when he woke up.

Are you of African/ Mediterranean/ Mid-eastern descent? The ultra tight curls of pubes found commonly among those groups tend to cause it more often than in us lanky haired Northern European types. Roll of the genetic dice.
