Personaly I prefer to get a good grip as near to the skin as possible and yank (like waxing a single hair :) ).

but it isn’t that painful. It makes a big difference on the pulling technique and also on how many hairs you do at once. It was taking me forever last night so i started doing a good few at a time. Now that hurt.

But one at a time. Its a breeze. And i like the all smooth look - especially with no “just shaved” look to it.

JMeister, I read your thread. I’m confused. You said something about a benefit of shaving around your anus is that it’s smooth for rim jobs. Does your wife do that? Maybe it was just a general statement for those that are so inclined.

Shaving around the anus is horrible, You end up with stubble that is extremely irritating. Wax it :) I do, works like a treat.

I’m not sure there’s an area of my body I haven’t tried to wax. The only bit I think should be avoided is the scrotum.

By waxing I actualy mean sugaring, which is much nicer on the skin and washes off well in hot water. The ready waxed strips are next to usless anywhere other than the legs and the roll on type or other hot wax just leaves too many deposits.

Like the eco friendly attitude goober. Maybe it should become law :) and maybe it would encourage more women to rim, personaly I’ve never met one that does.

What sugaring formula do you use? I want to try this on the shaft sometime just to see. Thanks!

Veet mostly, but is that available where you are? They are all pretty similar, its sugar after all :) As long as it comes in a tub and preferably has washable cotton strips then its all good.

I have used both NADs and Sally Hansen’s No Heat product. I’ve had good results with both. I can purchase the Sally Hansen’s locally, whereas the NADs I was buying online.

I’m having epilight hair removal on my balls and base of penis , I’m not loosing my pubic hair generally though…….I still want my bush.!

Epilight is pulsed light hair removal , and is permanent , its expensive but shop around maybe even barter a little, I get a good price.
They where doing other parts of my body first , my chest and arse where too hairy ….not nice,
As I know them, the people who run the clinic I feel comfortable enough for them to,” do it down there” , it’s not really painfull you may get a slight burn pain if you have a coase hair but it really isn’t that bad , I’ve never had electrolysis but I know compared to that its a sinch
I recommend it, but you need to have a few treatments.
If your in the Uk I know a clinic that gives I really good price.

Maybe you’d consider reporting back after treatment and again in 3 months or so :) I’d find that really useful.

Is there anything to permenantly remove pubic hair….I hate shaving….how long does tweezing last?? Does tweezing cause ingrowns??

I’ve tried a lot of the home methods including most of the ones listed as crap on the hairfacts link above.

I don’t have and experience of the epilight process, just what I’ve read, and it looks like that could be a least partialy successful.

Laser was touted as electrolysis without the needles. Again I have no personal experience but I’ve talked to/seen some people who’ve had it and were happy.

The only one I have close indirect experience of ( :) ) is needle based electrolysis. My wife had that (and I watched) it worked like a dream but we were very luckily to find a talented practitioner. Its something that can so easily be messed up, leaving horrible pitted skin.

I’m still in research mode :) mainly because what I want is removal or reduction of large hairs but retention of small hairs, allowing functionality of the skin in temperature control and none of that horrible pooling of sweat you get when all hair is removed.

Anyone else got any good facts?

There was an article in one of the “men’s” magazines (i.e., Men’s Health, Men’s Fitness, not the other men’s magazines). The writer tried a number of different hair removal procedures on different parts of his body.

For example, he waxed his chest, has his back laser treated, used Nair on his arms, shaved his legs, etc. The only one to give permanent results was the laser treatment, but he said it was extremely painful. Every time the laser hit a hair he said he about leapt off the table. He did say the results were good.

When I’m hair free I don’t pool that much sweat. I think that depends on how large of pores you have and the activity level of your sweat glands in the first place. I think I hold more sweat when I’m hairy, especially in my pits. Also, when you have alot of hair, the deodorant or lotion or whatever you put on goes on the hair and not the skin.

Besides I would substitute that any day to be hair free….
