Shiver, have you looked into this site any:

http://www.sexu alenhancement.o … omocriptine.htm

It’s more of a tiny teaser article to join his site, but the free stuff he provides seem to be pretty informative. Just not sure if it’s worth my coin.

If girth is king, why the hell does everyone keep talking about length?

Yes. I bought the article a couple of years back, which is how I came to have bromocriptine in my ‘shoebox’ or drugs. I no longer have access to the site as the cost ($10?) is only a temporary subscription of a few months. I don’t recall all the details, but I think the main point was to do with him noticing that libido increased when he ate strong cheese, but it have him excruciating migraine headaches. He narrowed that down to tyramine, which lead to his research on bromocriptine and cabergoline. Obviously there’s a lot more in the article (which I can’t remember), but it’s only a few pages all told. Might be worth a look in before buying any drugs if that’s what you’re interested in.

I haven’t used bromocriptine enough to offer any feedback on this area, but notionally it should help. The main difference between bromocriptine (or ergogenics such as pergolide for that matter) is that they act on the D1 and D2 dopamine receptors directly which triggers NPY and CRH. That means you don’t have high levels of dopamine floating around as you might with MAOI’s such as deprenyl and it’s relatives. That’s not to say that deprenyl is without its uses (it can be a very good longevity drug in terms of it’s brain protective effects), but they act in a different way.

Now this is a thread I’m very interested in. Bromocriptine is used off-label as an aphrodisiac for women. Have to be careful with it because of addiction. Some women on bromocriptine have spontaneous orgasms.

High dopamine levels do make you more amorous and passionate, not just sexwise but falling in love wise. I get high dopamine from taking mega-doses of omega-3 fatty acids.

Men are blessed with naturally higher dopamine levels than women, so maybe men don’t feel an aphrodisiac effect? I am very curious. It sounds like you know a lot more about the brain chemistry than I do—I’m all ears if you want to talk about this more.

This is my first week proper on Bromo, I’m up to 2.5mg and aiming to reach 5.0mg and stay there. I’ve also started a severely restricted calorie diet (Following a Lyle McDonald protocol to the letter) which would normally leave me ravenous, but this seems to help a lot. I suppose with calories restricted libido isn’t going to be through the roof anyhow, but I’ve not noticed any downsides. Wrt Omega-3, I take 6 grams fish oil ED, though I’m considering switching to Flax oil or a combination of the two.

Would the aphrodisiac effects of dopamine be the effect so often talked about with chocolate? If so, I’m wondering if chocamine might have a similar effect. I’ve never noticed anything with either, but in those responsive, chocamine it might be a guilt free way of getting that effect (pure speculation on my part btw).

I’m pretty sure the effects of chocolate (which is also on my diet for women) is due to eating a small amount over a long term. Of course there are feel-good chemicals in chocolate, but I think the true effect is caused by having a regular outside source of anandamide, which triggers the body over time to decrease it’s own production of anandamide, which raises dopamine levels. You can get this effect from eating a half ounce of unsweetened bakers’ chocolate a day.

Don’t switch to flax oil. You may want to consider switching fish oil to a more concentrated brand. How much EPA and DHA are you getting a day? I am taking 3400 mg of EPA and 2600 mg of DHA which basically makes me want to fuck anything in trousers—I could definitely relate to the previous post in the thread talking about the high libido from high dopamine making him want to pin women up against the wall. Generally I just clandestinely orgasm to relieve it—have gotten good at faking not having an orgasm. :)

Chocolate:
So does that mean it is when the exogenous anandamide wears off and levels are lowest that the best effects would be noted? I saw in my local supermarket the other day that they have an 85%(!) cocoa chocolate. I nearly bought some but knew I was about to start this diet. I have some 70% sitting in the fridge looking at me several times a day. The sound of the cool bar of chocolate snapping as your teeth sink in doesn’t affect my will power one bit. Not one bit I tell ya. No. Not a bit.

Fish Oil:
It’s Kirkland brand from CostCo and says that each cap contains 1195mg of Cod liver oil, of which 515mg is Omega-3, and of that 360mg is EPA/DHA (it doesn’t state what ratios). I take 6 caps per day. It sounds like to reach the levels you take with these particular caps I’d have to go much higher dosage. It’s just a fish burp aversion I have.

I used to take 6,000 mg a day of Omega 3s.

“You see, I don’t want to do good things, I want to do great things.” ~Alexander Joseph Luthor

I know Lewd Ferrigno personally.

Don’t take cod liver oil at high doses. If you take higher-grade fish oil, the fishy burps will be greatly decreased.

To give you an idea of how ridiculously high dose I am, taking regular over the counter fish oil to get the amounts I’m taking, I would have to take 20,000 mg of fish oil a day. It’s more concentrated, so instead of taking twenty pills a day, I am only taking ten. Most men will see improved sexual response at half my dosage, or at five, but that would still be ten pills of regular drugstore fish oil.

What brand are you using? When I google, most seem to be similar to what I already have. Trouble is, the ones I already have contain lots of Vit-A and Vit-E (amongst others), which I don’t want to megadose.

I take eight of these a day:

And two of these:

Basically give the amount of omega-3 fatty acids you’d be getting if you had a salmon steak for lunch and dinner every day. Or were Inuit and chewed on whale blubber all day long. Makes me so frickin’ horny it’s ridiculous. Like a seventeen-year-old gay boy on poppers his first time in a bathhouse.

And the chocolate thing—it’s just a half an ounce a day of the 70%. More, and it kills the effect because of the caffeine shooting up the serotonin level. If you can ration yourself and stretch the bar out over a week, I can’t see how it would hurt your diet all that much. Good antioxidant too!

I just have a quick question.

Omega 6 oils take a away some of the benefits of omega 3 oils… but do you know by how much? There must be a good balance I could have between them both right?

Also, does Bromocriptine have any major side effects? Would it make my girlfriend enjoy sex more?
Sorry for the newbie questions, I know nothing about aphrodisiacs apart from Ginseng.

May the force (of your hand) be with you. :littleguy

Well, first off no need to take omega-6 fatty acids at all, for most people. The modern diet is unnaturally high in them already. Because we feed our livestock grain rather than letting them graze, our meat is high in omega-6 fatty acids. Free range meat, seafood, and wild game are all high in omega-3 fatty acids, and are what we evolved to eat.

I caution strongly against using any kind of a dopamine drug as an aphrodisiac in women. They do work, in fact right now several dopamine drugs are being developed by big pharma to treat female sexual dysfunction. Only problem is a pharmaceutical source of dopamine generally loses it’s (dang that spellchecker) punch over time requiring more of the drug to achieve the same effect, and eventually just to feel normal. Cocaine and heroin are dopamine drugs. I’m not saying bromocriptine is as addictive, but honestly if you are going for a safe long-term way to raise dopamine, omega-3 fatty acids are the way to go. You can be sneaky and start cooking her lots of fatty ocean fish to eat. :D Or you can go ahead and get her the fish oil.

As for other women’s “aphrodisiacs” that work, I have found four. Most male aphrodisiacs don’t work for women, because men are focused on penile hardness and lasting long. Most men’s aphrodisiacs actually slow down orgasm and raise serotonin levels—both of which interfere with female sexual functioning.

Damiana is good for women, but should be used sparingly (and certainly not used by pregnant women, nursing women or women trying to get pregnant). Either brew a tea or take damiana in pill form before having sex. Works a bit like alcohol, so don’t drive after taking it. ArginMax for Women has passed a double-blind placebo-controlled test (although I am convinced it doesn’t work as well as my diet). Zestra is a topical sensation enhancing oil for the clitoris that has also passed a double-blind, placebo-controlled test, although not to everyone’s taste. And I personally am very fond of the brainsync Ecstasy CD. You need to listen to it with headphones to get the full effect, but it produces a relaxed theta state good for arousal.

I also wondered… consuming tinned mackarel in olive oil and stuff like that is just as good as taking fish oil right?
