Hi cammie77,
I am currently taking Tribulus.
Before I started taking it I did a research and decided to give a try because it is a natural organic supplement, not a steroid.
It does not have proven side effects.
Now what I have noticed. I can say that there are 2 noticeable effects: good mood and increased appetite.
Now even if I get stressed (I am in deep depression now) it does last long as before. I became more stress resistant. It seems to work better than anti-depressants.
Another thing is that now I feel always hungry and eat more than before.

Cheers.

I have had tribulus before but I do not think it did a lot I recently bough t250g powder from India (I am back in the gym) but I have not put it in capsules yet

The third I’ve never read; it doesn’t tell much though. How many athletes were tested? How much T levels raised? There was a control group?

There is a control group and no statistical difference between groups in T levels.
I have used tribulus and as said it made me hornier; I didn’t notice anything else that could suggest higer T levels thoug - no more strength, hairs, etc..

That garlic one makes me think.. Being Italian, I do consume quite a bit of garlic in my diet and lately I have been getting back into shape so I have been consuming a good amount of protein. I have noticed more "T". I just thought my increase had to do with working out.

lets stay within the topic Sexy_italian being Italian or Sicillian and consuming garlic does not mean anything unless you have tribulus with it

As far as I am concerned I have been trying the herb myself for a few days no change whatsoever bt I report back any findings after a month

Trib makes me hornier but that doesn’t necessarily indicate an increase in T.

If you read through the whole thing it has turned into a more of ‘how to jump start your t-levels’ thread.
He was just pointing out his experience in reference to a study Marinera posted.

I have tested some natural test boosters before that contained tribulus, felt something the first week and after that no difference at all.
In my opinion eating right is better for your t-production than any supplements.

Singapore? Have you made analysis on that stuff?

I’ve bought from them for the last 4 years.. never had an issue.. I do know people here that can do some tests on it though if members here would want more facts.. I can only give a subjective POV on it..

Abstract

OBJECTIVES:

To evaluate the possible effects of Tribulus terrestris herbal medicine in the erectile dysfunction treatment and to quantify its potential impact on serum testosterone levels.

DESIGN AND METHODS:

Prospective, randomized, double-blind and placebo-controlled study including thirty healthy men selected from 100 patients who presented themselves spontaneously complaining of erectile dysfunction, ≥ 40 years of age, nonsmokers, not undergoing treatment for prostate cancer or erectile dysfunction, no dyslipidemia, no phosphodiesterase inhibitor use, no hormonal manipulation and, if present hypertension and/or diabetes mellitus should be controlled. International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-5) and serum testosterone were obtained before randomization and after 30 days of study. Patients were randomized into two groups of fifteen subjects each. The study group received 800mg of Tribulus terrestris, divided into two doses per day for thirty days and the control group received placebo administered in the same way.

RESULTS:

The groups were statistically equivalent in all aspects evaluated. The mean (SD) age was 60 (9.4) and 62.9 (7.9), P=.36 for intervention and placebo groups, respectively. Before treatment, the intervention group showed mean IIEF-5 of 13.2 (5-21) and mean total testosterone 417.1ng/dl (270.7-548.4ng/dl); the placebo group showed mean IIEF-5 of 11.6 (6-21) and mean total testosterone 442.7ng/dl (301-609.1ng/dl). After treatment, the intervention group showed mean IIEF-5 of 15.3 (5-21) and mean total testosterone 409.3ng/dl (216.9-760.8ng/dl); the placebo group showed mean IIEF-5 of 13.7 (6-21) and mean total testosterone 466.3ng/dl (264.3-934.3ng/dl). The time factor caused statistically significant changes in both groups for IIEF-5 only (P=.0004), however, there was no difference between the two groups (P=.7914).

CONCLUSIONS:

At the dose and interval studied, Tribulus terrestris was not more effective than placebo on improving symptoms of erectile dysfunction or serum total testosterone.
