Hi guys,
I’m starting this thread because I’m planning to start taking some supplements for… well, a better life. And while it sounds like an egoistic initiative, I’m actually hoping that, if enough wisdom is collected in this thread, it will be of use to many other members. :)

Important note: It’s probably good to mention that by "supplements" I don’t mean simply drugs. For the purpose of this thread, please view everything that has a distinct effect on the human body and not only a nutritional value as one. For example, while celery can not strictly be called a supplement, for the purpose of this thread please consider it’s cum increasing effect to be enough to mention it as a "supplement". Use the quotation marks if you’d feel more comfortable. Potatoes, on the other side, are hardly a supplement, even in this thread.

Contribute with your knowledge about supplements and let’s help people live a better life, according to their goals and/or problems, of course. And people who have questions - go ahead and ask your questions, if this turns out to be a good thread I’ll make sure to periodically put all the helpful advice in one or more posts (depending of the post length limit) with the help of mods, so people could find all the useful information easily. It’s not certain that the thread will grow like that, although I feel that it certainly has the potential. Anyway, future legendary status or not, let me begin with sharing the supplements I’m planning to take and why. Of course, be sure to put your two cents in. :)

Pygeum - for increased EQ (possibly) and in order to relieve my nightly urinating problem.
L-arginine - for increased EQ and improved blood circulation (I can go out in a T-shirt in the winter and I’m not cold, but if I don’t wear gloves my hands become numb pieces of ice).
Fermented cod liver oil - overall health, vitamins A and D and for Omega-3, but the latter could come from chia or flax seeds too.
Brazil nuts - for the nuts.
Some general purpose vitamins - self-explanatory.
Vitamin D3 - because winter is coming and there won’t be any sun (vitamin D3 is naturally produced in the body after exposure to sunlight).
Vitamin K2 or butter oil, which is a good natural source of the fore mentioned vitamin - because it’s the infamous activator X and is good for a lot of things.

Not to beat a dead horse, here are a few nice threads about some sex-related (increasing EQ, producing more sperm, etc.) supplements, although you’re welcome to dispute and discuss anything in there if you think there’s something incorrect or just need to ask a question to further clarify the matter:

P.S. On a side note - what do you guys think about refined sugar consumption. There are many articles that claim it’s almost toxic and should be avoided. I tried going without sugar for 10 days, the first 5 were hard, almost like I was addicted, but I managed. However I don’t feel any difference. Did I give it too little time or is it just a bunch of crap? Also, do you think one should abstain from refined sugar completely or just limit it to a croissant or a waffle per day? :)

In regards your last point, I don’t really think it matters to be honest.

You’ve got one life and as you might as well enjoy it. Obviously too MUCH sugar will make you fat and reduce your quality of life, but in moderation, who cares? The same goes for most things.

Only two things in life are certain: death and taxes.

What are some more foods/food groups that will help with overall health (mental, physical, and sexual)?

Fats can not be underestimated. They are probably the single most important aspect of our diet after protein. Modern food manufacturing renders most of the fats we eat in a toxic state where they interfere with thyroid function, confuse hormone receptors and clog up the bodies detoxification methods.

So eating fats that have not been oxidized (I.e rancid) and eating a balance omega spectrum of an ideal ratio of 2 parts omega 6 to 1 part omega 3 will yield great benefits including cardiovascular health (essential in PE) stimulating skin and hair growth and increased metabolism are just a few key benefits.

Fish oil is NOT a good source of these fats. Fish oil will lower your hormone production and suppress your immune system. Instead use olive oil and chia seeds to obtain healthy omega 6 & 3 fats. Including coconut oil will protect against the oxidative qualities of the polyunsaturated omega oils.

A great book is Fats that Heal, Fats that Kill by Udo Erasmus. And there is Udo’s oil for a supplement. But I prefer to eat my omegas in my food and incorporate olive oil an chia seed into most of my meals.

Yup.

I actually take saw palmetto for hair loss prevention. But a great side effect is a nice mellow manly feeling it gives me.

Also, I’ve noticed recently that I’m having trouble remembering, concentrating, etc. It might be the small depression that I’m going through, but it might be somthing else. Keep in mind that I’m in my twenties. Any good supplement for that except gingko (everybody knows about that one :D )?

As I said above curries have all the ingredients cumin, coriander used to balance hot and cold spices like fenugreek, turmeric,celery,poppy,chilli powder,and all you could think so under the Indian Pakistani skies

Thyroid. If your body temp is always low then I would take things for thyroid. Including kelp, OR various herbal thyroid formulas, and including coconut oil, and finally a desiccated thyroid supplement (it’s glandular).

Speaking of cooking, if you really want to maximize a healthy lifestyle you must, in my opinion, prepare your own food. The fats, sugars, proteins in processed foods are really degraded and have no life. If you want to be a vibrant youthful energetic person you must eat vibrant energetic food. Living food. Food that has been prepared with a conscious mind and loving hand, using whole unprocessed ingredients. It take more work and more money but is worth it.

Side note: almost all food undergoes some form of processing, cutting the vegetables for your salad is a form of processing, but I’m talking about refined processed food. The stuff that would be unrecognizable as food to someone 100 years ago, and it’s also the stuff that has GMO all up in it.
