Q: IGF-1 vs. Ephiphyseal plate vs. Ossification
I have a quick question/opinions for anyone with knowledge of the subject or interested in it.
I am a 19 year old male, physically active, high metabolism, college student. I am turning 20 in July. I am 5’10, 180 lbs muscular body.
I am interested in taking IGF-1 for health/workout benefits that include increasing PE and height, in general. I have read that the epiphyseal plate(s) do not close until 25 years old, or ossification doesn’t occur until around that age. I was wondering if I could check this by going to a doctor. The IGF-1, by increasing the GH levels, would make me grow? I have to go right now, but if anyone wants to comment on the subject i’ll reply later tonight.
Is it worth it to try? Is there a 50/50 percent chance that I will grow? Just curious as to if I should even risk taking it. Thanks a lot.
