Protein Powder And PE

I typically eat within 30 minutes of my workout. Not because I have to but because I’m usually hungry. Sometimes I’ll go up to 2 hours after my workout if I’m not hungry. My diet allows me to keep hunger at bay since it consists of a lot of fat.

I’ve learned the hard way that it is highly beneficial to eat after stressing your muscles, and feed them what they need.

I did long day hikes (16 - 19 miles) a couple times after which I failed to eat dinner. The next day I could hardly walk. Another time after a 19 mile hike I pigged out on chicken, ribs, beans, corn, bread till I could hardly walk. The next day I felt great and could almost do another hike.

Feed your muscles. Like the body-builders mantra says, muscles aren’t built in the gym, they’re built in the kitchen.

Yes but your dick is made of cartilage not just muscles if any at all

Blue eye, blonde latino

Ok then don’t feed it.

Do whatever you want, I don’t give a shit.

Don’t think he was referring to your cock benefiting. We were talking about post gym workouts.

You don’t have to consume anything after a workout who told you this BS about blood sugar? Maybe for people with diabetes or something although I don’t know much about diabetics. Let’s not promote anymore myths here.

Everyone should be careful about making generalizations by saying, “because this works for me then this is how it works for everyone else.” As you see even the advice from experts is conflicting.

After I workout there’s a short window of time when my body is very receptive to nutrition. I feel famished. If I let this window pass, then the feeling subsides. So that post-workout window is the optimal time for me to consume a significant amount of protein. And that enables me to easily meet my protein requirement, and it would much harder if I didn’t.

As for whether or not protein helps your dick. I concur with what others have said, it probably has no direct effect. Plus, I haven’t noticed any difference in my PE gains while supplementing with protein.

Ya I don’t really consume sugar and I get my energy from fat so I don’t really experience “low blood sugar”.

I sometimes go 2 hours post workout before I eat anything because of my morning schedule. I do intermittent fasting so I train on an empty stomach. If it is not time for me to start eating I don’t eat until it is time to break my fast which usually around 12 or 1pm. I am stronger when I train fasted I have done both ways for years and this is what works for me and others. But I will not sit here and try to tell you it works for everybody because people respond to things differently. I have the most energy in my fasted state but I can’t tell you that you do too because we are not the same.

I’m not sure if protein matters in PE because I’m sure a lot of people here don’t get enough protein in their diet for optimum growth but they still make great gains. I also had the question whether being on a calorie deficit affects pe gains negatively but now I know it doesn’t because I have made great gains in 4 months so far while cutting fat and maintaining muscle. As much as we would like to think of pe and bodybuilding there are some similarities but many differences. I don’t know if I will make faster gains when I start my bulk phase(eating a calorie surplus) so I will learn in about 6 weeks when I start.

I’ve been working out in the mornings only consuming my pre workout drink and a dose of Arginine. I’ve noticed an increase in my intensity at the gym. The fat has been coming off but hoping to add some muscle mass. Hope to keep this train going!

I know from experience that those mass gainer protein goes straight to the dick and fast because its pre-refined (wasn’t weightlifting only PE). Id take it everyday but its kinda pricey and you get the same benefit from a responsible diet
