Propecia problems?

Got the stuff from Genhair today, 9 days from Budapest which is not bad during the Christmas seasons. I’m will let you guys know how it goes, it worked well last time. I’m glad it got here because the Revivogen and the 5% minoxidil have been making my scalp red and itchy but not dry or flaky but what an itch.

Please be careful with that topical. I can assure you some of the Finasteride will be absorbed systemically (not a big deal) and some of the Flutamide will be absorbed systemically (a big deal)

I will watch it bro, I used this stuff for about six months with no issues last time. It’s funny last night I used it and it made my scalp feel better and my hair is having a good hair day. For some reason it never happened before the acid in the Revivogen is really bugging me out when I use the minoxidil, never bothered before they must have added more of the acids to the Revivogen. Left my scalp itchy and red but only if I use both.

Okay, good to know. Good luck!

I would love to have the surgery, but the economy stinks and my finances are a disaster right now. So I guess I love my house more than my hair at the minute.

:) yep always something better to spend the money on, like the mortgage, taxes, food, utilities, etc

Thanks for this post Dino,

I’ve been off and on finasteride for years. Last night I flushed out my remaining pills and shaved my head. I always wear my hair short anyway, so this is no big deal. For me, Finasteride is no longer an option, I have no intentions of being on a pill the rest of my life. And I am looking forward to getting morning erections back, as this is really the only side-effect that I’ve noticed while I was on it. Finasteride did help prevent hair loss, and keeping what I had, but to me the cost just outweighs the benefits of a pill that I’m not sure what side effects it may have years down the road.

A cosmetic concealer like DermMatch like I posted in the above link in my last post on this thread will help hide the shame of a full head of thin hair like I have glowing under the florescent lights. Do yourself a favor and look into it. It isn’t even expensive and it is a safe healthy product recommended by dermatologists and doctors for concealing after hair transplants and while using hair loss treatment drugs and topical applicants.

Clubber good luck to you, but please don’t look at hair transplants as being the be all-end-all. They don’t cure baldness. If you go down that path be prepared to spend big bucks, and also to have lots of additional hair transplants to make up for additional hair loss. It can be expensive, and there are a lot of shady doctors out there capitalizing off people’s insecurities. This is one area where you as a consumer have to do all the homework as there are very few good doctors out there. Also, from what I’ve seen and read most guys who get hair transplants stay on drugs like Finasteride, Minoxidil, and/or a host of other things to prevent further hair loss. Keep in mind that for all the good work you are seeing advertised by a clinic, they are only showing you their best work. There are plenty of guys out there that spent thousands and their results never materialized or worse they were horribly disfigured. Wishing you luck, I hate baldness as much as you do.

I’m waiting for Hair cloning to come out. I’m 30, and not confident that it will come out in my lifetime, and if it doesn’t, that’s okay, I’ll still be me and still live my life. But if it does, well that would be pretty damn great for all of us who are trying to cope with losing our hair.

Anything that can stop morning wood just ain’t good for you:) . I’m glad your off the shit and hopefully you can pull off the shaved head look. If I was black I would do it, my buddy is black and I don’t even notice hes bald and he shaves his head.

So far the stuff from Genhair seems to be helping and my hair looks slightly better, I’m going to really test because next week it’s back to the gym and I’m going to start my “Fountain of youth supplement” and it kicks up my testosterone levels

Keep us updated on your genhair progress Dino. I’ve given up the revivogen because I felt it was not worth the money. Using Rogaine foam twice a day and Nizoral shampoo, but it does nothing for the front hairline and little for the back!

I think they changed something in the Revivogen because it was beating up my scalp when taken with the 5% rogaine and it never used to do that, so while at one time I had gotten great results with it, that wasn’t the case with this last patch because I think it did more harm than good. As far as money goes unfortunately the Genhair is more expensive than the Revivogen but if it works and keeps me off Propecia than I can deal.

I don’t mind paying a little more for a better product. I was hopeful when I first started using Revivogen, and I still like their shampoo, but for the money it doesn’t live up.

Well I don’t have the best head shape to go with…think of a cross between Adam Sandler and Woody Harrelson, LOL. I guess I’ve just reached the point where I don’t quite care as much anymore. I’ve been shaving my head down with a #1 or #2 guard for years. Anything lower I’m not real comfortable with. Yeah it usually works fine for most Black guys, but I’ve seen a few that I don’t think it was working for, but usually it works better for black guys vs. whites.

I’m going to check out the Genhair stuff just to see what it is about. Not sure if I’ll take anything. I spoke with my folks, and my ex-girlfriend about stopping Propecia, I just let them know that they can count on seeing me lose a lot more hair in the coming year.

One thing I’ve been thinking about is rhinoplasty, as I have a very big nose, it tends to dominate my face, and with a shaved head I don’t think it bodes well for my looks. I just a have hump in my nose I would like to flatten out, not sure if I will end up doing anything, but I’m going to look into it.

Dino, I’m guessing your “fountain of youth supplement” is a cycle? If so that has to really speed things up as far as your hair loss no? It’s okay if you do not care to comment on this, I know some guys don’t like talking about it. It’s never been anything that I have done, if I did I know I would probably look like Bull from Nightcourt by now. Anyway good luck to you.

Hey bro, sorry I took so long to get back to you, I missed this one. The Genhair seems to be helping for me and this is the 2nd time I used it. They also have a 15% minox that worked well for me also but I don’t have any right now or the money to order some. As far as the fountain of youth supplement it kicks up testosterone levels so you really have to watch the hair. I haven’t started it yet because been dealing with a nasty cold and a hurt finger.

Hi guys

I used Propecia for 4 months ,after I notice my balls were shrinking and lack of libido I stop taking it .it’s been almost 4 months that I have stoped taking it but my erection is still 60 percent with no morning woods also I noticed some tiny red veins on my balls.

Does anybody experienced these problems ? Are they going away? Cause it is very annoying. Any ideas how I can get rid of it?

Thank you guys.

You should go to the doctor and have yourself checked, have him do some blood work if you. Did this all start when you took the Propecia?
