I’ve started taking Nordic Ultimate Omega fish oil supplements as a means of balancing out my Omega 6 to Omega 3 intake. I’ve decided on 8 pills per day, which puts my EPA and DHS consumption at about 4.4 grams per day from the supplements.

For those of you who take fish oil pills, do you take them all at once or split them up throughout the day? Currently I take 4 roughly 15 times after breakfast and the other 4 roughly 15 minutes after lunch.

Just wondering how to get the maximum value from these not-cheap supplements.


Start/April 2011: BPEL - 6.75" / NBPEL - 6.00" / BEG - 5.125 / Mid Shaft - 4.75 / Glans 4.5"

Current/August 8 2011: BPEL 7.25" / NBPEL - 6.375" / BEG - 5.625" / Mid Shaft - 5.00" / Glans - 4.875"

Goals: NBPEL - 8.25" / Mid Shaft EG - 6.00"

What does the label suggest? I’m thinking I would split them up and consume them with multiple meals.


For Lampwick, becoming hung like a donkey was the result of a total commitment.

I take a tablespoon when I feel I have eaten out of whack like Dr Harris suggests.

I feel it’s too exp to down daily.

It says take 2 pills daily with food, so I guess for best absorption I should do 2 with breakfast, 2 with lunch, 2 with a snack and 2 with dinner.
