Icariin and another question

Hi,

I just read about a supplement called Icariin which is said to enhance your libido, has anyone tried it?

Also, can I take Ginseng and Yohimbe at the same time or should I spread it?

For me, it is a bit like Cialis. Makes it easier to get hard and stay hard, but it doesn’t increase libido.

In non-castrated rats, it increases endothelial nitric oxide synthase, i.e. makes erections harder, but not the neuronal nitric oxide synthase isoform, which contributes to an improved feeling of libido.

Do you know anything that increases n-NOS?

Hmm Icariin sounds very interesting. Quoting the summary from a scientific article:

"In summary, icariin shows testosterone mimetic
properties, and has therapeutic potential in the management
of hypoandrogenism, which is encountered in most
of the aging male population. Further experimental and
clinical work is required" (Zhang & Yang, 2006, p.604)

Icariin is the active component in Horny Goat Weed. Many formulas also contain Maca, which is the one that I take. It works better than any other natural supplement that I’ve ever taken, including L-Arginine.

So Maca works better for you than l-arginine? I guess I have to try for myself, I’ve ordered some l-arginine, zinc and ginkgo.

I don’t know of anything that increases nNOS without adversely affecting anything else yet.

The Horny Goat weed that I get had Maca in it, so the combination is better than L-Arginine. Zinc is good to replentish your semen. I’ve found Ginko totally useless for me EQ.

What I’ve read Icariin is a PDE5 inhibitor, so is Viagra..

Should you get it with Maca for best effect?
