I need a supplement to lower my stress and tension levels

I’m almost always stressed\tensioned, I can get angry in no time, I tend to get very stressed for nothing and I thought of trying to use natural supplements to reduce my stress levels (I have many reasons for the stress, work, issues in life and issues from my maturity).

I don’t want to see a psychiatrist right now, I really don’t have time for that, I need something that will help me to relax (again, not SSRIs), I’m a very confident young man with some issues from my past (not abused or anything), when I grew up I was always stressed and very tensioned about my body/life, I know I need to sort it out, but for the mean while I really want to be able to relax and be calmed, I feel like it’s hurting me, the people around me and my health, I know that there aren’t any magic tricks, but I really hope that I’ll find something that will help me.

I’m asking for legal stuff only.

Would like to hear your opinions.

Thanks!

Supplements! You may get them from any vitamin or herbal shops herbal shops are good since they can concoct good products likewise Chinese herbal shops are excellent source for calmatives.

I have suffered badly for years with stress and panic attacks no matter how much diazepam docs pumped in the problem would just not go away and those were the years when medical practice had little knowledge of stress related conditions. Anyway at the end I managed and cured myself How? Do not know to this day exactly how.

But let me tell you it is useful to talk to someone about your fears and other problems so that person can help you out to find the triggers be a counselor or a psychologist they would be my first point of contact before I head for a shrink.

1)Tap down some of your emotional overload with EFT (emotional freedom technique or Tapping)

Privacy info: Clicking on this image will enable content from youtube.com

(there are plenty of videos on Tapping, this is just a start)

2) Adopt a concept that allows you to “not sweat the small stuff”. Catfish Hunter would imagine that in a couple billion years, the Sun will burn out and the Earth will be a giant slushball, so is there anything in your daily life really worth getting upset about?

I use, “everything that happens in my life is allowed by God for my highest good.”

You have to find a concept like that, that can instantly SHIFT YOUR PERSPECTIVE and let you see things that normally set you off, as relatively minor or even good. Otherwise, all the nutrients or chemicals only can blunt your emotions. If you don’t learn to SEE things differently, you won’t make much progress.

3) Take up exercise like running. It will allow you to blow off excess energy and be less hyper reactive to everything.

Good luck.

Vitamin D 1000 mg once before breakfast

Thanks for the replies.

I already take 2IU of vitamin D every morning, this isn’t effecting my tension levels.

Sparkyx, I will try those, I’m already running 30min/day, I REALLY MUST start looking at things differently and learn to calm my self and ignore things.

Sricardo, can you please advice which supplements should I try? I would prefer trying something I’ll be advices to and not what the seller tries to give me.

Conquering my goals.

It impossible to IGNORE things, that won’t work. What you can do is REFRAME them, or learn to look at them in a different way, that does’t get such a strong response emotionally.

For example, lets just say someone cuts you off on the freeway. Well, the ASSUMPTION is that he “did it intentionally” and you feel your life has been put in jepardy (at least your cars life) and you go into a rage, and want to retaliate, right?

Well, I don’t get upset, because I assume that he probably didn’t see me at all. Plus, I look at it this way, if I was walking on a Mountain path, and I see a boulder come crashing down the Mountain towards me, I don’t assume the Mountain is trying to kill me, start screaming at it and flip it off…I just get out of the way and am glad I saw it in time…right?

So, I stay calm most of the time because I see what happens in my life, dramatically different from how you see what happens in your life. My “self talk” about it is probably far more positive.

For me, I use the one I stated above, and it was transformational, because it RE-FRAMES everything in my life in a positive way. So, for me, there is no longer any negatives. I now look at things as “pleasant and unpleasant….but all good”. When I teach people this approach, universally they become happier and more peaceful. The drawback to my technique is you need to believe in God and you need to be able to believe it. But, really you just need to find a way to re-frame in a way YOU can accept, then practice until it becomes second nature.

Another method is to project yourself onto your deathbed, and then “look back” at what is happening now…is it really worth getting upset over? In your last moments of life, the only things that matter to people is the good they have done for others and the love they have shared…and all the small shit is just that…small shit not worth getting upset by.

Anyway, just some thoughts.

Sparkyx, I wish I could reframe a lot of things, it’s something that I’m saying to myself each morning, but I can’t control it.

In the past week I said to myself a few times when I woke up “today I’m going to be calm”, but my surrounding doesn’t let me do it, by the middle of the day I find myself stressed and un-calmed, thinking on the things to come.

There are things which I feel I must do -

  • I workout 6 times a week, I must go to the gym in order to stay in fit (I recently got to 11% fat and I want to stay there, my body has a tendency of gaining fat so I run and practice almost every day).
  • I must learn and practice every day in order to get a job, I made a DD for each subject I should know so I’m on a tight schedule (I’ll start looking for a job when I’ll be released from the army in a few months)
  • I must eat lean meat and food with less oil and a certain amount of carbs’ (I make my own food because of it)
  • I need to sleep at least 7 hours a day in order to be vigorous, I’m very tired if I don’t sleep well (and then I can’t study\workout)
I learn after I come back from the gym, every things must tick, I need to be back at home by 5:30pm in order to be in the gym in 6pm, get back home at 8pm and start studying till 11pm, at 11:30 I’m in bed, I wake up at 6:30 am.

If something gets in my way I will have less to no time to do several of the stuff I need (workout\learn\sleep), and usually I don’t keep up with the times because of factors which aren’t always related to me (it’s not up to me) -

  • Traffic
  • More work during the day
  • Tiredness
  • Lack of concentration - due to stress\tension\fed up with all of the things I need to do
  • Don’t feel like doing those things
You can be sure that I’m stressed to do all of those things, eventually I don’t keep up with the times and I don’t have enough time to learn, I get upset and angry.

And there are more aspects that bothers me -

  • Things in my body which I don’t like (I was fat as a kid, I’m very self aware to myself), the fact that I have PE, and the fact that there things which I don’t like about myself.
  • And there are money issues too, I’m always worrying for bills in my house, my father and I are not in contact since I was a little child, and it’s been me and my mom\sis all of my life, so I feel like I have a lot of responsibility for them, the house chores, finance etc’. It’s like I’m the only one in the house who feels that we need to save in electricity, water, groceries (which lots of them are been thrown in the end of the week and my mom keep on buying stuff we don’t need, we argue about that each week but nobody listens) etc’
  • Thinking on the future, things I want to accomplish and I tend to say to myself that I’ll do in the future (like doing PE excises, I left TP about 2 years ago, in those 2 years nothing has changed, I could have a bigger unit by now  , 2 years ago I had one ambition - having a bigger penis, I have a GF so I didn’t mind about that in the past years, boy.. This is one of my biggest mistakes) etc’
I’m always thinking about those stuff, a lot of things bothers me, in order to keep my schedule things must tick as a clock (and it never happens).

So you probably saying to yourself, go less to the gym, study less and balance things, well, If I’ll go less to the gym, I’ll need to eat less carbs (I like eating, but I eat from a counted calorie menu which has been , which fit my intake) will make me tired and I won’t be concentrated, it’s really important for me, and it’s a place which I find myself quite, I tend to relax in the gym.

So, there are a lot of more stuff that I can think about, but from writing it down and reading what I’ve written I can see I need to take care of myself before I’ll collapse.

What should I do in order to try and keep up with my schedule but with less tension on my shoulders?

First, I need to implement in my mind that the if I miss one of those things, nothing happens, I need to realize that I’m hurting myself more than I’m improving my self, easy to write, but it’s very hard to accomplish.

How do I do that?

I honestly don’t know.

Another thing about PE -

  • I have a venous leak (which I was trying the take care, had one surgery that didn’t fix it all the way, it stopped me from PEing because I couldn’t get good results before taking care of it, my CS hardly inflate and my erections are 80%-90% strong most of the time, I get only CC morning woods (and only CC erections) and my glans doesn’t inflate while erect (which really bothers me), I’ve been saying to myself that I’ll work it out for 2 years now, I hope to do it when I’ll be released.
One of the reason I think I left TP was because II wanted to forget about my problems while I had to confront and solve them.

Have you tried Tapping (EFT) and have you had much luck with it? It seems too simple to be effective, but I guess sometimes simple is better.

Started ... Dec 2010: 6.25in BPEL, 5.75in MEG

Current ... Jan 2012: 6.9in BPEL, 6.0in MEG

Goal ... whenever: 8.0in BPEL, 6.25in MEG ** With great penis comes great responsibility **

Another thing is that I suffer from neck pains for the last 6-8 months, it bothers me all day long, especially at morning, I’ve tried many things to cure it (changing pillow, better working positions and physiotherapy) with no luck, it must have a connection to my stress\tension levels too.

Of course you can, if you find the right method for you…unless you insist you “can’t”…then you will be right no matter what the truth is.

Its like saying, ” I want to go swimming, but I don’t like to get wet…how can I do it?” Well, you can’t. Anyone would be over whelmed with that list of whats and musts. Yes, keep it up and something is gonna give out! Part of the wisdom of life is learning your limitations. Differentiate that which MUST happen from that which you WANT to happen. You will have to compromise on the WANTS.

Learn to do the best you can and be at peace with that. If some things have to slide a bit, you have to learn to accept that. OR you can keep trying to do more than is possible to do and stay healthy. Nothing like getting sick as hell and being flat on your back for a few months to help you catch up on your rest.

Make a list like you did above, and sort through it. Separate the things that must be done from what you would like to do, and begin to prioritize the list. Get the MUSTS done first, and if you have time in your life, do the WANTS in the order of importance. If you just can’t find the time or energy for something, THAT’S JUST LIFE!

Be realistic with yourself and be reasonable with yourself. That’s part of becoming wiser in life. If you don’t do it voluntarily, life will teach you the hard way!

Yes, I’ve done it on myself and on others, its VERY effective. Where you need more experience is in a more complex problem. For example, fear of spiders…easy! Bring up the fear as high level as you can, and tap it out until its gone, simple. Huge immediate difference.

Lets just say you feel you are a loser…much more complex. There may be 20 or more different fears and resentments etc that gel together to give you that feeling. However, even if you don’t have much expertise, just start tapping out what ever fear or anger or negative emotion that is coming into your consciousness, it will start to help. Just whatever comes up, tap it out.

Its like going to fight a fire. A professional Firefighter has knowledge on where to best place the water and will be far more efficient than some neighbor with a hose. BUT if the Neighbor puts enough water on the fire, he can eventually put it out.

There are tons of free Tapping videos, just start with the basics and pull up and watch some of them. You will get better as you practice and study it, but it does work…give it a try!

Just start tapping out negative emotions, it will help for sure. Just look at the video I posted for the points, and do the method I wrote here;

Psychogenic Impotence or Performance Anxiety

This is just the basics, there are tons of free videos. You can learn it in a few minutes and begin to get some good results right away. More complex emotions require more skills but you can do tons of good with it for yourself. I like to have you raise your greatest fears, AND FEEL IT AS STRONGLY AS YOU CAN, if you can make your skin sweat and stomach knot (like its actually happening) its best! Make a note on a 1-10 scale how strong the fear is, and then keeping the FEAR AS HIGH AS YOU CAN, tap through the points, VERBALIZING your WORST FEARS as you tap.

For example, (as you start tapping) “I can NEVER have sex with a girl, because MY PENIS DOESN’T WORK!” (keep tapping) “I will never have a RELATIONSHIP because I CANT STAY HARD”, etc. Just bring up as much of the fear as possible and vocalize your WORST FEARS as you tap.

After you cycle through the first time, try and bring you fears up again, and again rate it 1-10. You will probably find its already reduced 50%. So, continue like this until its down to 0%. In the process other related fears might crop up, like “women don’t find me attractive anyway”…that’s fine, tap them all down to 0%.

ONCE you can no longer find any fear related to the problem, NOW you can TAP IN positive affirmations (but only after all the negative is out). You can say, while tapping, “you know, my dick actually can get big and hard, and there isn’t any reason why I can’t give this girl one heck of a shagging” etc. I like to state it like, “why couldn’t I …fill in the positive statement.

Work with this and you will find it will do a huge amount to erase this negative programing loop you have set up. (by loop I mean its reinforces itself.)
