How long for L-arginine to kick in

I’ve been taking about 3-5gs a day for about 3 weeks and some. I recall people talking about a higher sex drive, harder erections and a higher volume in the cum shot. I have not experienced any of that. So I was wondering how long it took people to experience any differences or are there some people that just don’t get these good effects.

3 to 4 grams of L-Arginine taken in empty stomach for a week started working for me.

Taking 2-4 grams on an empty stomach is the key. Don’t eat for 2 hours before and after taking it.

Some aminos are antagonistic to each other. If taken together, lysine cancels the effects of arginine, tyrosine cancels tryptophan, etc…

I usually take it mid day or at night, around the time I might work out. And I have the 1000 mg GNC pills and just take it with water. I gotta say I hate taking these tablets though since they are god damn horse pills.

I take upon waking in the morning with a protein shake or breakfast. Once before working out, once after working out. And once before sex and/or sleep. Give it some time. I take two to three pills that many times a day and it still took a little bit. I worked up to being able to take that much. Works wonders now.

Try to take 10 g day

10 grams? Do you take that much? I don’t think I’ve ever heard of someone taking that much, seems a bit excessive. But on the other hand I guess whats the worst that can happen aside from me getting a stomach ache.

You may need to see if your protein shake contains lysine. Arginine and Lysine fight for the same enzyme and hence not advised to take them together.
I wouldn’t take it with food. It’s advised to take this stuff in empty stomach, atleast 30 minutes before eating anything.

I thought that protein and Arginine were antagonistic as well?

Interesting tip for guys buying in bulk from bodybuilding, bulknutrition or the like, (which avoids the horse pill thing): purchase the vegetation source Arginine for a few cents more and avoid the nasty taste.

You are right. I was thinking of making another point though that I missed in my post.

Protein shakes usually contain good amount of lysine as it’s an essential amino acid meaning human body would not manufacture by itself but need to be supplemented.

2-4 g arginine is not much. Many on thunderS use 5g in the morning and 5g before bed. This is in powder form.

Damn, I didnt know you could take that much.

Heres me cautiously taking one 500mg pill a day, is there a difference when you take a pill and the powder??

I don’t know if I’ve seen results, but what am I supposed to see? Higher Sex drive? More woodies?
