Lectithin does work, but you do need to drink a lot of water too and the amount of lecithin you are taking won’t make much difference, if any at all. Thunders is a wealth of information & everyone here very helpful. I figured this would be the place to ask to see whether it would be worth $10 to see if the book had any useful info. By the way, I have honed in on just using the Lecithin and L-arginine. I use Swanson powder (15 grams) and L-arginine (5000 mg - which I was taking anyway for health reasons.) I find that works pretty well for me, and I don’t spend too much cash on other stuff.

I agree that this is a good place to ask, so my expert opinion is not to waste your money on the book, just keep investing in the supplements that you already know have been working for you.

I’ve been eating large quantities of celery recently, along with a good high protein low simple carb diet (no sweets & complex not simple carbs). For the original stack, pygeum actually blocks 5-alpha-reductase enzyme which converts testosterone to DHT (aka a DHT reducer.) As a result it can result in reduced DHT levels with either increased testosterone, increased estrogen, or both. Maca mimics hormones but it’s not clear to me if it actually affects hormone levels (I’ve seen both claims.)
Zinc. Well you’ll just hive higher zinc levels. You should really also be taking 2mg of copper for every 15mg of zinc anyway and no more than 50mg of zinc per day.

I only mention all of that in case you get any tests for hormone levels. I would lay off any and all supplements except for multivitamins for about 2 weeks before getting any labs that test for hormones.
I can’t imagine the other ingredients are going to affect your labs all that much.

Exactly. My labs came back just fine and I didn’t even lay off the supps.
BUT .. That’s me. I would back off about 10 to 14 days before the labs. None of these have a long half-life.

I went with the standardized version from pipingrock which is 100mg per day serving size as you noted. What you have is straight bark. The standardized is also bark mixed with some standardize extract to make it more potent with a consistent potency. The straight bark’s potency can vary and lower potency, obviously.
It’s all good. You what you have is fine. The question is figuring out how much to take. The standardized has a serving size of 100mg, but straight bark is 1000mg. Does that mean it’s a 10:1 ratio of potency? If so, what was recommended in the original post is 200mg per day. Does that mean you should take 2000mg?
I would probably just go with the daily dosage of 1000mg. I’ve searched all over and haven’t found any indication as to what the difference in potency is.
That being said, I don’t think it hurts to take more if you want to try. At most, it’ll just be a waste but that Pygeum is pretty cheap. Maybe start with 1000mg daily and if after a week you don’t notice a difference in precum, then increase. When I take pygeum it I start drooling precum during foreplay.

Also, I have been spouting some incorrect information about pygeum, that it blocks conversion of testosterone to DHT. I was WRONG.
Pygeym blocks DHT receptors. It just keeps DHT from binding to receptors in the prostate, hair folicles, etc. Blockint it’s effects but doesn’t affect it’s levels.
Furthermore I’ve read that studies show that there was no change in hormone levels (estrogen and testosterone) levels before and after starting to take Pygeum.
Saw Palmetto is a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor, so it does block DHT and does affect hormone levels (raising testosterone and estrogen.)

So everything I read says it’s perfectly safe to take. Sorry for spreading false information. I’m learning as I go and I’ve been getting things mixed up between supplements. All that being said, I had stopped taking pygeum (actually most stuff) but I’m going to get back on it.
