Green tea extract

I’ve gotten curious about the apple cider vinegar! Would the capsules be a good alternative from having to drink it? I used to take the liquid diluted in water on a daily basis and did see improvement regarding my digestive problems.

And I’m considering the green tea route for reducing my caffiene intake! Its not that bad, as I’m down to maybe a few cups of coffee in the morning and maybe an afternoon cup.
Also, since being outta work the last 4 months, I’m showing signs of CHF…swelling of the ankles, around my waist, trouble breathing at times!! , but working on that.

If you can’t stand the green tea taste, Lipton has tons of flavored green teas. My favorite is the orange and jasmine green tea. Also try using honey instead of sugar as a sweetener, it is more expensive and it brings a different taste to tea.

Hi guys it’s me again. I’m gonna continue the topic of green tea extract. So, today I bought "Super Green Tea Diet" which is according to a sale person the best extract for the beginners. Well, it wasn’t expensive, it was actually much cheaper than I expected. I bought it mostly to increase my daily energy and to burn some fat. I’m 23 years old, 6’1" and I weight 180lbs, I’ve been working out for quite some time( about 7 months now), and I already lost much fat and gained some muscle but this process was very slow. So I bought it hoping it will help me get my "six pack" but after talking to a friend at the gym, he said my weight is almost perfect for my size and I should concentrate on gaining muscle more than losing weight, he said I don’t need green tea. Anyway, now I’m a little confused. Additionally, I’m drinking a protein shake, taking L-Arginine 500mg, BCAA’s and Red Line pills to help burn fat. Do you think that Green Tea extract will help me, and even more importantly won’t it interfere or block the products that I’m already taking. And lastly, does it have any side effects?

PS. Here are the Green Tea Pills

Frame is about right. Mainly I continue cider vinegar for it’s detoxifying qualities for my system.

You don’t need to lose weight. At 6’5”

There are many tonic claims for Apple Cider Vinegar.

6’1" 180 doesn’t jump out as sounding fat. But, then, I have seen skinny people who are out of shape. So I can’t say based on those stats, alone.

But, if you do need to loose a pound or two (tighten up) the green tea is supposed to help with that.

Those should help fuel your muscle building pursuits.

Again, if what I read can be trusted, green tea should help in slimming down. Side effects, I haven’t read any -but I have not specifically searched, I must say. But, then, I only use one tea bag on work out days..

Tea is known to block the absorption of Iron , but that is all, as far as I know. On the other hand, things rich in vit C, can increase the dose, or maximize the uptake of a med or supplement.

The iron in the multi vitamin formula should safeguard against iron deficiency.
Like I said I went from 19% body fat to 15%. I had been exercising since September but the fat would not budge tell I started on Green tea. But at the same general time I also started apple cider vinegar. I had started taking them in the middle part of February.

Some people are against males taking Iron at all, and recommend not taking a multi with Iron.

If you look, you will see that there are multi V’s without Iron. A conversation with a dietitian, revealed that she thought males didn’t need Iron unless there was something unusual going on. Whereas with females, their cycles makes Iron a good thing in most cases.

All that said, you are probably OK on Iron and the green tea, most likely, is not an issue for you.

Thanks for all the valuable input.

Kingpole, how do you measure your body fat? How exactly do you know it was 19%? Is there a website or some secret formula?

In October 2006, the FDA approved an ointment based on green tea. New Drug Application (NDA) number N021902, for kunecatechins ointment 15% (proprietary name Veregen) was approved on October 31, 2006 [15], and added to the "Prescription Drug Product List" in October 2006. Theres no doubting the potential benefits of drinking green tea. I personally prefer a little bit of sugar, topped off with ice, as the extract can be a little strong.

Bulk Green Tea

I disliked green tea when I was using the tea bags. There was no punch or flavor. Then I bought several green teas in bulk. It’s an entirely different experience when your cup of tea is full of flavor. Bulk is cheaper as well. I have replaced coffee entirely and have a whole array of green teas.

Does green tea have any affect on testosterone? Literature seems a bit vague.

Old thread but i am wondering if green tea extract is better than drinking green tea itself? I’ve read somewhere that green tea extract has better benefits than drinking green tea. Hope someone could shed some light on this..
