Sorry, DarkTrick, for this reply, but, only for information, I have to warn that one of the Phenylalanine’s collateral effects is to be a fenomenal appetite’s suppressor (BTW as far as I know it is almost always an ingredient in chewing-gums). I think he should maybe consider this behaviour before taking it and perishing quickly :P

Red Bull = its nice, its wonderful with vodka but its not as beneficial as you’d like to believe

for costs and volume. You’re better off with Boots Energy Boost, which has 3 times the power per capsule and 30 capsules costs you something measely as 30 capsules for £6. It also has necessary amino acids such as B12, B6, Niacin etc.

I take Ginseng+ginkgo, Coenzyme Q10, L-arginine, Omega-3 supplement wise and its done me dandy.

If you have a relatively short exam a supply of highly concentrated sugar coated gummy bears may give you that edge for upto an hour but after that you’re going to be suffering so I wont recommend it. Its ideal for marathons though.

Nicotine gum - Im not a heavy smoker, only smoke if its green :-) but nicotine gum is a stimulant and doesn’t harm you unless you where already addicted to cigerettes before. Kava kava and green tea are helpful too.

You could go the illegal route and take cocaine, ritalin/speed, Ephedrine (I read somewhere its banned? weird).

Mau Huang or Tongkat Ali is remarkably beneficial to the mind as more blood circulates up there.

Oxygen tanks - Im seriously not kidding, if you happen to have one and breath it in for a very long time pure air. You’re like superman, thoughts come quicker five times as faster and you can perform physical tasks three times as more effective as another person.

Nitrous oxide - Good luck with taking that during exams, short bursts of mental prowess but you’re going to get shifty eyes looking at you with a balloon breathing it in. :-)

Or you could just sleep 7-8 hours… Or do power naps of sleep for 1 hour every 2 hours which makes you in a constant state of alertness but I don’t recommend this for exams but for coursework.

Ive exhausted myself, sleep is the most important.

I’m taking Piracetam, Get Smart (Vinpocetine, DMAE, Picamilon,…), ginkgo and a bit of ephedra.
I stopped taking ginseng, it’s giving me high blood pressure and very bad headaches, where I live they sell that bullshit for improving concentration and alertness, I don’t like it.

Yeah I already was thinking about oxygene tanks :D

I think the combo Piracetam and Get Smart is the best thing I’ve ever taken, Thanks again Tube!!!

Btw when I want a drink with caffeine, I drink a bottle of Nalu with green coffy beans, it has a wonderful taste and is very refreshing. I think it’s from the Coca Cola Company.

- meditation, great for learning, gets you more in the alfpha learning state.
Also make’s you more aware of distracting thoughts while studying. One in the morning, one in the end of the day.

- don’t eat to much at dinner, makes you lazy

- no tv in studybreaks, no thundersplace either.. Avoiding the red/irritating eye’s.

- visualize an orange hanging above you’re crown while learning

- no ejaculation between studying

- drink a lot of water. 2,3 liters the pissing give’s you little breaks. You can say to yourself; “one more page reading in concentrating and then reward yourself with a liberating piss”.

- power nap between 1200-1300 of 25 min if possible. I am going to substitute that in thai chi. Three time’s meditating is a little to much.

- Work out direct when you wake up. 1day on 1 off.

- not to much coffee.

- start out learning in the morning as best as possible. Use the energy then.

- go to sleep and get up at the same time’s.

- good breating. When you feel becoming less focussed. Sit on a chair and start breathing in from you stomach for 5 minute’s. Not forcing it, just relaxed breating threw you stomach.

- fruit/vegeatable’s off course

Thx for your good advice! You really seem to be on the highest level.
I don’t have a TV but it happens that I ejaculate once or twice daily, I knew it was bad but it’s hard to cut it off.

I woke up early in the morning or late at night during the last days, my heart was beating fast and couldn’t fall asleep again, a typical stress syndrom, but in less than a week the exams will be over. So everything will be alright again.

BTW I was thinking about tai chi yesterday, perhaps this could help me being a more balanced person.
I’m also going to see a psychiatrist during the holidays because of my damn procrastinating habits.

Hiphop give’s me an energyboost sometime’s, when I am studying for a while without hearing something. To break te silence.

In a break starting to dance like a psyco on a favourite song. Just one song. When it stops, you go back studying right away.

I heard one time that chewing gum can activate you’re brain also. If I am chewing gum for hours my jaws get lame. Instead I take a match sometime’s, break the firing part off and play with it in my mouth.
(The gum is a good training another time for eating pussy)

When I feel a light headache, or a bit tensed I put on meditation muscic.
Some esotheric oils, which you burn can give you’re more concentration. (basilicum/rozemarijn, dont know in English, maybe the same. That way I can still enjoy learning, the most important thing and taking it easy. When having a headache you can first try a relaxing oil instead of the concentrating. Before moving to the aspirine.

Listen to you’re body.

Sorry that I haven’t replied/posted anything in my supplement and in my depression thread.

A little UPDATE here:

At the moment I’m studying again for some exams and I have changed some things in my diet and in my habits.

No sleeping pills at the moment (perhaps during the week of the exams I will take some every night, hopefully not, I talked about that problem with my psychiatrist) and no ephedra either.

- L-tyrosine (one capsule in the morning)
- ginseng (one spoon in the morning)
- omega 3 ( 2-3 capsules during the day)
- vitamin E ( natural supplement (in german “Bierhefe”))
- ginko biloba tea and green tea (in the morning)
- Get Smart (a nootropic, in the afternoon) www.smart-drugs.com
- Piracetam (www.smart-drugs.com)
- oxygen tanks (occasionally, but it’s a bit expensive, one member gave me the idea)

I try to keep a nice diet, so I eat bananas, apples, cashew nuts, spinach, broccoli, … , every day.

I still take my antidepressant Zoloft twice a day and I still use my Light-therapy light-box (http://www.davita.de/english/consumers/lightboxes.html) my psychiatrist recommended me the use of it.

Might want to hold off on that ;) .

Invest some time in learning how to learn. Play Baroque music while you study, learn to meditate, break your studying up and do mini reviews to give your self memory “pegs”, swim under watter holding your breath for a few hours total a week, etc.
