Green-tea extract.

Yesterday, I started taking green-tea capsules. These happen to be 300mg.

I took them about 7 hours before going to bed. I had a really hard time falling asleep, which is rarely the case.

A coincidence?

I have been feeling my oats at the gym and strength has been increasing but I over did it and pulled a muscle in my back. It’s not that bad it only hurts when I breath:)

Also another funny story I was taking apart a L-ornithine and it wouldn’t come apart so I tried to pull it apart with my teeth and of course just as it’s comes apart it gets stuck to my tongue and I’m doing an imitation of a cat with a hairball trying to get this shit off my tongue:)

All my lifts are going up too. Some dramatically! I really have my workout dialed in!

Now that I’m over my back strain, I can REALLY hit it!

My main leg exercises are free squats with bands, and a standing hack squat machine. I alternate these.

The last cycle I went up 60 lbs on both of those exercises.

Weds. I did hacks again, and I went up 90 lbs to 765 lbs for 5 reps! I followed with leg presses which also went up 90 lbs to 765 lbs for 9 reps!

Of course, I have felt like I’ve been hit by a truck since then…but I can’t wait to do the band squats and see if I can at least do a 60 lb jump again!!!

I will really blow everyones mind at the gym if I can load the hack machine with 20 45lbs plates and rep out!!!

Dino, perhaps it wasn’t increasing your rate of hairloss, rather starting those hairs on a new cycle due to the extra GH release.

Just a thought, because I am also interested in the effects of extra GH at my age while keeping all my hair.

Today I did pullups with 70 lb dumbell between my knees for 4 reps. Straight bar curls with 175 lbs for 2 reps. Both of these were up 10 lbs from last time I did them ( 2 weeks ago).

I really credit getting my workout REALLY dialed in as primary, and the ALCAR formula as secondary.

There is NO WAY the ALCAR can make up for overtraining, but that said, I really believe the extra boost in recovery is what is bringing a little “magic” into my results.

I have been training for years with very limited results. I began to seriously research some of the top guys in the world about 10 yrs ago.

Even then I had limited results. I keep researching, and added experimentation to it. Some good results, some bad…usually 1-2 serious injuries a year.

What I’m doing now is a culmination of about 10 years of study and experimentation.

So far it is my most exciting workout I have ever done. Everything is coming up steady. No joint soreness ( I did pull my back…but my Chiro got that squared away for me).

Fat is dropping and muscle taking its place.

I work out less than 3 hours per week. Some weeks about 2 hours.

I’m gonna stop now because this will lead to a new thread, and I don’t want to hijack.

I just put this here to show that the ALCAR formula has been a catalyst for what I am seeing.

I haven’t had the problem this time with using rogaine 5% once a day with the propecia. Also one thing I did last time is try to split my 5mg Propecia clone into 5 pcs when I usually take a quarter so I was taking less.

I’ve started “sled dragging” again. Thats a technique some cutting edge powerlifters use to increase their ability to perform more exercise.

They also find that it causes them to get leaner and fitter, with great cardiovascular benefits.

What they don’t realize is that it is a major stimulator of growth hormone.

What it is is a heavy gauge sheet of metal that you stack wts on and pull it.

For those interested, you can substitute uphill sprints….great stuff!

Do it twice a week, start with on run of about 100 yds or less…depending on your condition.

Slowly work up to about 4 runs, twice a week.

This is DEFINITELY a case where more is NOT better. If you get it right ( and don’t die) you will punch up your GH considerably. If you overdo it, you will increase Cortisol and get the opposite effect.

I have been doing so good with the ALCAR formula, this should amplify the effects even more.

I’m starting with sled dragging, I’m doing about 300 ft worth of sprints with about 180 lbs of total wt. I really want to do less rather than more for all the reasons stated above.

As I find that my body can handle it, that is, I feel more energy, see better strength gains and fat loss…I will add another 100 ft run.

Once I get up to about 400 ft twice a week I will stay there. As I get stronger I will just add more wt to the sled.

If done right, I should feel energized by the dragging, and get leaner and fitter.

People are starting to really notice the physical changes. All my lifts are going up, but once again this is really a combination of a super dialed-in workout PLUS the ALCAR.

Over all I am very excited about whats going on. I really don’t think I would be getting AS good a result without the ALCAR…like I said, I really believe it is that touch of “magic” that is giving me enough recovery that it is keeping me “in the zone”.

“For most people, the doses of amino acids mentioned above (2 grams of L-glutamine and 10-30 grams of L-arginine) are about right for maintaining youthful levels of HGH beginning at about age 30, and continuing into the 40’s, and sometimes (but rarely) beyond 50. In order to maintain its effectiveness, these amino acids should be used for about 6 weeks, then stopped for 2 or 3 weeks. The same 6-week ON, 2 or 3 weeks OFF cycle can be continued indefinitely. I may try this…it makes sense.

They say 2 grams of L-glutamine in the morning on an empty stomach has been fairly well researched.

I may do that and take a break from ALCAR for 2 weeks then start again. 6 on and 2 off…

I had noticed a decline in night wood again, but assumed that it was due to too much PE.

It could be some type of down regulation of the ALCAR formula, although the strength gains are still great. This could be primarily due to the work out though.

Dino, have you noticed any change in nite wood? Are you still doing the formula on a regular basis?

I re-read the ALCAR site; http://longerhealthylife.com and I didn’t see anything about cycling the formula.

Cycling in general makes sense to me.

Especially if I can alternate with 2 grams of L-glutamine in the morning to keep fair levels of GH going while I take a break from the ALCAR.

I like to take L-glutamine anyway…I just haven’t figured out a good time to fit it in lately….an empty stomach is a limited commodity with me :)

I take arginine on an empty stomach (NOX2), the ALCAR formula, and a anti-heart disease, anti-cancer concoction ( Vit C, Lysine, proline) in the morning….all these are supposed to be taken on an empty stomach.

Actually, most amino acid formulas are best taken on an empty stomach.

So what about the longer healthy life formula with l-ornithine and acetyl-l-cartinine? Has anybody had any long term luck with that? I’ve been wanting to do it, but Tyler Parr will not provide any references. For a guy who’s supposedly devoted his life to this research, there isn’t much on that web page that induces confidence.

Is the formula you guys are talking about as effective?

Spark, how do you measure the L-ornithine? I know the capsule method, 25 to 1 or whatever, have to look again. I’m waiting for some money as the ALCAR is kind of expensive I’ve noticed.
