Last week, I realized that my Thursday private-office appointment with my kinda hot Physical Therapist was going to overlap 36 hour Cialis-wise with possible Wednesday morning or night sex with my wife. If she’s a professional, she will totally ignore it, not have a cuckle or admire it. I see into the thousands of patients a year, many of them young athletes. A lot of guys get erections. Most guys try to hide them by ruffling up a towel around them but some just accept it. I make a point of totally ignoring them and standing at angles where I won’t see the erection, to make the patient feel more comfortable. Often I’ll find an excuse to use an extra towel, and discretely place it so it hides the erection as much as possible, especially if the guy is turning over from prone to supine.

The most embarassing ones (for the patient) are when they are under 18’s with a chaperone, usually a parent, in which case I make sure the patient has plenty of extra ‘coverage’ and I position myself as much between the patient and chaperone as possible, and I talk to the chaperone while the patient gets dressed, placing myself between the chaperone and patient, with my back to the patient. Erections are a fact of life. Any medical professional should totally ignore them.

Obviously, the child has not left the house, or at least is chuckling about growing up “a little”. And I’m the child, in my 60’s.

At least it was a female doctor, I think if it was a male doctor it would be more embarrassing

I guess that is more depending on sexual orientation. My body is very anti male and in front of another male everything retracts and stand ready for combat. Which is why between other reasons I always chose female if there is going to be some sort of body interaction. Only for things like haircut, dentist, which is more mechanical/repair in nature, I chose men.
