I’ll steal this wording because it’s a good description:
After supplementation, L-citrulline is converted into arginine in the kidneys. Supplemental L-arginine provides a spike of L-arginine in plasma, while supplemental L-citrulline increases arginine plasma levels over a longer period of time.
So the answer is BOTH. I take up to 3G of L-Arginine, and I try to spread them out 1G at a time through the day. I don’t know if that’s necessary but I read that L-Arginine doesn’t stay in your body a long time (I have no idea what that period of time is.) I assume spreading it out keeps levels more consistent.
Also supplement L-Citrulline because it’ll help your kidneys produce L-Arginine naturally more consistently
If you want fullness and for ED purposes, take the L-Arginine and you should notice a difference after no more than a couple of days. Also consider taking maybe 1-2G of L-citrulline, but it’s not necessary if you’re taking the L-Arginine. I think it just helps if you want to skip taking L-Arginine all of the time.
Watermellon has naturally high in L-Citrulline.
I see the debate over L-Arginine vs Cialis. I find that both work really well together. I find that ED drugs work far more effectively if you take L-Arginine. But start taking L-Arginine and L-Citrulline ahead of time (like the day before or the morning of.) and spread the doses out over the day.
