B-12 Injections

Has anyone had it? Is it worth it? I was always the physically tired type for as long as I remember.

Hey TT, why would you want to get B-12 injections if you didn’t have an extreme deficiency? If memory serves, B-12 is important for balance, releif of muscle tension, and remembering your dreams. Is there some other role it plays of which I am unaware?

Do I remember correctly that you have some type of inflammatory bowel disease?
If so, you could be b12 deficient and oral supplements wouldn't work. Injectable or intranasal b12 bypasses the need for absorption through the GI tract.
If you lack energy you could be deficient in some nutrients including but not limited to b12.

Chron's disease could affect the small bowel in such a way as to result in b12 and folic acid deficeincies in particular but in general the water soluble vitamins could become depleted and may need to be supplemented. Probably a good multivitamin, b12 injections and 1 mg of folic acid daily should do it as far as vitamins and trace metals (like zinc). Other minerals like potassium could get depleted if malnutrition is present. Some times absorption of some nutrients (fats, some forms of protiens or carbohydrates) may not be sufficiently brokend down to allow absorption into the body. What is the diagnosis, how was the diagnosis made and what kind of control is it in?

Ulcerative Colitis is what they say. Though Chrone’s is almost always misdiagnosed as it. Will any of these supplements screw with my gout?
