Arginine (L) or Arginine monohydrochlorid?

This seems to be a good occasion to say “Thank you for the ‘holy crap’ comment in the becks thread ;) But it can’t be too fat anyway, right?

The price for the pinacle stuff sounds good. Could you PM me the link to the shop, please? I’d order from the US too, if they carry other stuff like Tribulus, creatine etc., so that the postal expenses are spent most efficiently.

Finally I found a statement, which is only from a shop site, but at least something:

“L-Arginine 1000 is from free base arginine, which is 17% more potent than arginine HCI (hydrochloride).” !!!! This means, the cheaper Arginine (L), the free base is more potent then the monohydrochloride!

I don’t know about you, but to me that sounds like a very misleading statement. I don’t fully understand what they’re saying.

Are they saying that “L-Arginine 1000” (the product name?) is Base arginine, or a sub-component of?

It is 17% more potent at doing what? 17% less bulk?, or contains only Left handed molecules perhaps? or doesn’t have the hydrochloride?

My knowledge isn’t that good, but I’ve come to treat HCI as a good rule of thumb for measuring known quantities, so ‘potencies’ aside, quantitively you know what you’re getting. I think we need an expert on board here.

Having ordered some Nitric Oxide, I did a search for information as the best way to take it (it seems the instructions on the container agree with most comments) But I came across the post by LBORN regarding Arginine 1000.

Checking the internet the 1000 simply refers to 1000 milligrams of ordinary Arginine - No more than that. So a large pinch of salt is necessary with the claim made by the store and the manufacturers.

Maybe a dead thread, but I believe that Arginine ethyl ester is the best form of arginine.
